Cosimo (my nonno) was born on November 27th 1930 and departed from us on February 25th 2012. He was born in Ginosa Italy and immigrated over to the USA in the 1950's with my nonna (his wife), Anna due to finding work and wanting to better their lives. In the USA is where they stayed and formed their lives together which involved raising three children, working and building their own home. My nonno was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He worked for a company that at the time was called Warner Lambert for over 40 years and he was always very proud of that. One thing that I will always admire about my nonno was that he came all the way from Italy, not even from this country, and was able to make such a wonderful life for him and his family. He was very committed to working and making sure that he provided for his family.
I will always remember his love for gardening and his garden since that is one thing that he always had a passion for since I was a young girl. He also enjoyed traveling to his home country, Italy, spending time with his family and friends, gonig down the shore every summer, and being a member of the VFW. Going down the shore was one thing he really enjoyed and looked forward to even through his battle with Parkinson's disease.
About ten years ago my nonno was diagnoised with Parkinson's disease and complications from the disease is what took him away from us. His spirit and memory will live in my heart forever. RIP <3
