Dearest Casey and Tammy,
I am the mother of Marco Carranza. He was there and was good friends with Casey passed away. Upon Marco's return, he and my husband went to go visit with Tammy. We have lost touch since then. It would be wonderful if this message is viewed by someone who could send us Tammy's contact information so that my son, Marco Carranza, can reach out to her. We never stop thinking of Casey. With much love. The Carranza family. 21 Dec. 2020

Casey's golden heart is missed every second of every day, as he will always and forever be honored by his family and friends. His love for sharing laughter, is now his legacy shared by many. As we celebrate his 5th Angelversary this June, he will be covered in red roses to show our love, from his many family and friends. We will do his favorite (Jaeger shot with a Natty Lite chaser), and watch 5 Chinese Lanterns light the dark sky as his music plays. Keep sharing your laughter baby boy, and I love you to the Heavens and back always and forever... catch all my kisses, I am catching yours. xoxo, Mom

Casey rode in my truck for 3 or 4 missions as my replacement gunner, only a few weeks before he passed. I remember he thought it was funny that I could understand what the Samoans were saying over the radio. If you weren't familiar with our island brothers talking over the radio is was hard to understand them because of their thick accents. I rode with the same platoon for our entire tour so I became familiar with the voices. Casey however always bounced around to numerous platoons to fill in a vacant position for a mission. I work on Ft. Hood now as a contractor, he always pops into my thoughts when revelry plays at 5... or whatever the hell the bugle at 5pm is called.
