Craig Jacob Bembry, 66, of Dayton, OH, passed away on April 9, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer.
Craig was born on January 10, 1956 to John Bembry and Hazel Grant-Bembry in Toledo. OH. After graduating from Macomber High School in 1974. He went on to study at the University of Toledo. Craig met Bonita Sanders and they wedin 1997, going on to have 2 children, Celeste Bembry (Ward) and Benjamin Bembry.
Anyone who knew Craig knew that he was the most loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather (PaPa) a family could ask for. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Craig was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to Meijer, where he worked for more than 25 years as a team leader. Craig was also a passionate artist and could often be found working on his photography, calligraphy or French lessons at home.
Craig was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Carlton and Omar. He is survived by his wife Bonita Bembry; his children, Jennifer Sanders, Allyson Sanders, Celeste Ward (Clarence), Benjamin Bembry; his grandchildren, Brayden, Bryson, Aamina, and Camille; and his siblings: Regina Jennings, Reginald Grant (Mary), Denise Bembry, Kevin Bembry, Darryl Bembry (Cassandra), Ingrid Bembry, Carla Ambrose (Mark), in-laws Craig Morrow and Rhonda Morrow as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to W.E. Lusain Funeral Home, 2060 Germantown St, Dayton, OH 45417. There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at First Wesleyan Church (401 Gramont Ave). Visitation will begin at 11:00am and service to follow at 12:00pm. Interment at West Memory Gardens.
