ForeverMissed

Craig Fondo was not the kind of man who'd want a traditional obituary.  And, because we're sure that everyone who knew him would have a story to share about him, this interactive site feels more fitting.  Please share your stories and memories on this site to celebrate the 60 years of our father's life.

Born on August 13, 1955 in Hackensack, New Jersey, Craig was the middle child in his family of 3 boys.  From what we've been told over the years, he and his brothers were always up to some sort of shenanigans.  He loved playing baseball and was always very athletic.

He moved with his family to Orlando, Florida in 1971 and graduated from Evans High School in 1973. He married his high school sweetheart in 1974 and they had two daughters.  They divorced after 15 years together and Craig never remarried.

He was a professional Jai Alai player (#31) and made many lifelong friends in the years that he played.  His picture was even on the side of city busses! He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the early 90's and was an avid Braves fan. He loved living in a highrise condo in the city during his time there.

Sometime around the new millenium, he moved back to Florida, but didn't stay long.  Within a year or so, he moved across the country to Las Vegas, Nevada.  After a few years there, he moved to Canada for a short time for a business venture.  In 2013, he starred in a reality TV show on CNBC called "Money Talks".

He had a love/hate relationship with Las Vegas and he moved back to Florida twice in the last five years.  Ultimately, though, Las Vegas was his home...a home he shared with his loyal companion, "Buddy", a miniature pinscher who absolutely adored him.

He was a proud father and a doting grandfather.  There was never a dull moment with him.  He had a big heart, was a loyal friend, an excellent manager, a reliable employee, a sports whiz, and most importantly to him, a beloved "Pop-Pop".  He passed away on June 16, 2016.  While we mourn his death, we can all find comfort in hearing about all the memories.

A memorial fund has been set up in his honor at: https://www.youcaring.com/craigfondo
