Curtis Eugene “Milo” Yarbrough, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at LaGrange Hospice.

Mr. Yarbrough was born Friday, July 16, 1943, in Chambers County, Alabama, the son of the late Henry W. and Otellia T. Yarbrough. He lived in the Valley area all of his life. Mr. Yarbrough retired from the West Point Police Department after 42 years. He loved Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama football. He will be missed by all those who met and loved him.

Survivors include two nephews: Joshua (Kasey) Yarbrough and Jacob (Mary) Yarbrough; sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Mike Grimes; a sister-in-law, Joyce Yarbrough; and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Yarbrough and Jerry Yarbrough.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 11:00 AM EST from McCarthy Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to LaGrange Hospice.

I did not know he had been so sick.He and his brothers and parents were such the nicest neighbors anyone could have growing up across the street from so many years ago. I know you all will miss him.
