Brother Agbazue, the news of your death came as a big shock to me! Got to see you again after several years in January 2019 at bro Alex's wedding. In your usual humble manner you waited from start to finish, again as its usual of you, you seized the opportunity to preach the good news at the reception and made an altar call.

The message of God from your mouth was not in enticing words of men, it was always full of the demonstration of the spirit and of power: I passionately looked forward to your teachings.

You honoured every invitations from the Charismatic Youth Fellowship, at the Archangels Catholic Church Satellite Town despite your very tight schedules and you were always on time. We are proud of the foundation you laid upon which we are standing so steadfast

Yours is a glorious exit indeed and precious in the sight of the Lord! Good night God's General until that glorious morning.

We are living the faith and running with the baton. Your memory is blessed forever

TRIBUTE TO A FATHER IN THE LORD (BRO. CYPRIAN U. AGBAZUE)

Bro. Cyprian U. Agbazue was a true and selfless charismatic leader and a mentor in the faith. He contributed immensely in the spiritual and moral growth of believers in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigerian (CCRN) and the Catholic Church at large within Lagos dioceses and diaspora; most especially in his local parish where I worship (Message of God CCRN group in Arch Angels Catholic Church Satellite Town, Lagos Nigeria) and where I was tremendously blessed by his teachings and ministrations. His teachings are always well researched, inspiring and impacting with weights of the presence of Holy Spirit. One of special teachings was about the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, which he usually teaches during Pentecost programs at the Prayer meetings.
He was a reserved gentle man, always putting on his glasses and always punctual for prayer meetings and he was also a father to the youths in our parish then with godly/spiritual mentorship, as we would always have him fellowship and teach us at the Charismatic Youth Fellowship (CYF) of same Arch Angel Parish those days.
He was a balanced Renewal member and leader who understood and translated the core calling of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church and created balance in his teachings with the Church doctrinal teachings biblically.
It was a big shock to hear of your passing on Papa in the Faith and the news of your departure kept me speechless but it later done on me that God can not be questioned as he knows best our beginning and ending.
I must confess we miss you a great deal and hope to meet with you again one day in the Kingdom of our Heavenly Father.
May your gentle soul continue to rest in the bosom of the Almighty Father. And may the grace of God continue to fortify and keep your family during this period and beyond in Jesus name, amen.

Oh great man of GOD. you were such an inspiration to me and my younger brother. You inspired me to be proud of my Catholic Faith and aspire to be a pride of the Catholic Church and the Christian Faith as you were but most of all, to be the pride of CHRIST as a Faithful bride. Your historical impact on our community is not just historical but generational. I still hear your voice behind the Mic as it came to me as the Voice of GOD, I love and reverence you, Sir. We have not lost you. No, we have not. We remain in communion with you and the triumphant Church in heaven in CHRIST. You continue even with Saints above to support us the Church Militant on earth. However, You have left this phase of life and handed the baton over to us, Please keep praying for us in CHRIST JESUS as we continue from where you stop. Adieu Daddy.

Brother Agbazue as he was fondly called by many was spiritual father and mentor to many. My first encounter with him was on August 30/31, 1996. It was my first time attending a night vigil in Lagos. My journey with the LORD began that faithful night when I stepped out for the altar call. This time it was for real.
Once Brother Agbazue starts to sing " The power, the power, the Pentecostal power, is just the same today, no matter what they say. and he adds LORD send down another Elijah to bring your power down LORD, send down power. also send down rain, to heal the sick, raise the dead and glorify your name, LORD I want to be another Elijah here." Immediately the atmosphere would change and the power of GOD starts moving and the sick healed and great things start to happen.
I studied under his teaching and his ministration both at the Satellite Town Message of GOD Charismatic and the Satellite Town Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship. Many of us wanted to be like bro Agbazue and He was instrumental in our spiritual upbringing.

He was a man of few words that spoke volumes and wisdom. He was a man devoted to prayer and the word of GOD, and also a man willing and ever ready to learn. He took notes when others where teaching, he was not that leader, that walked around while others ministered. He modeled humility, service and displayed commitment, and fervency.

I enjoyed every bit of his words, our conversations on phone, and his words of encouragement. All I have is admiration, love, respect for him. Though he is no more with us physically, but he will also be remembered, respected and admired by us. He left a legacy for us to continue, and that is what we should intend doing in his honor. He so much talked about, "that they may be one". It is now upon us to carry that touch and mandate and vision.
I have to exhibit something you whispered to me some time ago, the spirit of prophecy is subject to the Prophet.  I lay down my writing pen in honor of that.
Sleep on my father in the LORD.

Tribute to a worthy friend and brother

By Ben C. Ikeakor (IFCU, Director)

Surv. Cyprain Udechukwu Agbazue deserves the friendship of any honest well meaning person. He was warm, caring, loving and so, very easily lovable. His belief in Church unity and his sagacity at it was palpable and infectious. I was thus among the pioneers of the IFCU over which he presided.

Ordinarily I found him very shy, a good listener but ironically very brave. These attributes made him the very good leader who led from the front.   It was this his bravery that veiled his health challenge from the public purview.

My wife and I  are still in shock by the news of his homecall. We can imagine how Chinyere , his loving wife, and his three sons on whom he dotted perennially, will cope with the vacuum which this his sudden exit will create.     The only consolation is God's Word in Psalm 116 which assures us the the death of a saint is precious to God. Cyprain was a full Four star General in the Lord's Army both through the Full Gospel and the Church. So like St Paul, I can see him confidently saying 'I have fought a good fight and have run the race . Therefore I am looking forward to getting the Crown of life.

Adieu, CY, thanks for teaching me and the others who crossed your path the virtue in living and, if necessary, dying for what you believed in. Adieu. Rest in peace.

    Tribute to  Cyprian Udechukwu Agbazue

The death of Cyprian Agbazue is a big blow to the FGBMFI and, of course, his family, friends and associates.

I have known Cyprian for many years in FGBMFI circle.  We all started in the South West District 3 before the creation of Districts 4, 6 and 7 in the Lagos area.

Our relationship  became closer when we realised that we came from neighbouring towns in Anambra State - Ozubulu and Okija ( Cyprian and myself respectively).

In January 2015 when I was installed the oldest man ( okpala) in my  community, I used the occasion to evangelise and promote FGBMFI in my town. I invited Cyprian from Ozubulu and another National Director, Dr Eddy Igwe, from Ihiala, another neighbouring town to Okija. I purchased many copies of the Voice Magazine and Now That You've Received Christ for the occasion. I thank God that an occasion which my predecessor celebrated in a pagan way, I did it the Christian way  with many souls saved, using Cyprian and Eddy as God's great instruments.

Cyprian will be remembered by the formation of the International Fellowship of Christian Unity ( IFCU) many years ago. He dedicated his life and resources to promoting Christian unity. Even while sick in the USA he made every effort to maintain his online platform as long as he had the breath of life. I pray that his able fellow leaders with keep the IFCU running in his memory.

I condole with his wife and family  for this great loss. I know that they took very good care of him in the USA for years. May God bless them.   But no mortal can change God's plans and purpose. My consolation is that he maintained his great faith in God until the end of his mission  on earth.

May his soul rest in peace.

A TRIBUTE TO A GOOD FRIEND by Dele Ojeomogha (IFCU Board)

I first met Cyprian Agbazue, otherwise simply known as CY to most people, several years ago in a Full Gospel event. We became friends and I got to understand who he was and what he cared about. It did not take long for me to see the fire in him in the service of God.

He was bold, zealous and undaunted in his quest for the church of God to be united. He effectively used the IFCU platform, of which he was President, to assiduously pursue his dream of uniting the church of God, and I am proud to have been part of this endeavour.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Papa Agbazue fathered many children and I am proud to be one of them. A father and a mentor. His passion for the Lord was contagious and his knowledge very deep. A great man of God yet so humble. You know you have sat under a great teacher when results are produced by the application of the teachings you received from them. Papa you sowed richly into our lives and the Lord gave the increase. We are today products of your spiritual travailing.

On behalf of the charismatic youth fellowship of satellite town, i say thank you Jesus for using this great servant of yours. I’d also like to say thank you to Mummy Agbazue for all the support given to this great general over the years. May the Lord preserve us till we all meet at the marriage feast of the lamb Amen.

              Tribute to CYPRIAN UDECHUKWU AGBAZUE
                      By L. Chidi Ilogu, SAN

“I have given them the glory you gave me, that they may be ONE-I in them and you in me- so that they may be brought to complete UNITY"
                        John 17:22-23 NIV

I have never known anyone who believes and holds fast to this message and charge of our Lord Jesus Christ as Cyprian Agbazue my friend of over 30 years.

Cyprian, otherwise CY as we all fondly call him and I met as foundation members of the Satellite Town Chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship sometime in 1993. When I became President of the Chapter in 1995 Cy became my Vice President and took over from me as President in year 2000.

Cyprian identified so closely with this Charge of our Lord Jesus Christ that we all in the body of Christ should be ONE in UNITY as He and His Father are ONE that he founded the International Foundation For Christian Unity (IFCU) in 2006 to propagate the fundamental mission of Unity in the body of Christ devoid of denominational rigidity and differences. He invited me to join and I accepted to become Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Cy coming from a Catholic Charismatic background has truly lived out this Christ's Charge in every sense of the word in his lifestyle and through the IFCU, Full Gospel and commitment in the Church. He was zealous in promoting “Life in the Spirit “Seminars, Evangelism, Fellowships, Outreaches and Symposia across denominations in Nigeria and beyond and in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at all levels.

Cyprian was a dogged contender and fighter for the faith who remained focused the denominational differences, ill-health and challenges of the times notwithstanding.

His two publications- "That They May Be One" and “His Seven Priorities" and the IFCU Unity Whatsapp Platform all attest to this conviction and steadfast faith in the prophecy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Surely this prophecy shall come to pass as Christ tarries and unto eternity when we shall all be gathered with Cyprian and other believers at His feet.

Indeed Cy has run his race and surely a crown of life awaits him. We who remain on this side of eternity have a duty to carry on this task of breaking down denominational biases and barriers thereby advancing the unity in the body of Christ for indeed we are all ONE in HIM who died and lives for evermore.

CY, you were such a peaceful, loving brother. A gallant soldier of Christ who showed so much passion and urgency on any given assignment. You led men and infected them with the same passion as a contagion. How we would miss you, and your valuable contributions. Rest assured that we would meet again at the feet of the Master - Jesus Christ. Sleep on Dear Brother.
