D.G. Daniels began his call to preach at the Gibson Bayou Church, near Earle, Arkansas on April 16, 1953 at the age of 12. He retired from full time ministry in 2009. My dad was an alumnus of Belin Memorial University Bible College of Chillicothe, Missouri. He received an Associates Degree and earned a Masters Degree in Theology from the International Bible Institute and Seminary of Plymouth, Florida. He served as an evangelist and conducted revivals meetings from Georgia to California and from Michigan to Texas and throughout many different states. Dad was first Licensed in the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee in July of 1965 and Ordained in June of 1980. He became Bishop with the Church of God on July 29. 2000. In addition to his service in the Church of God, he founded Harvest Time Ministries in 1984. Dad served as pastor in eleven churches in Arkansas, four in Kansas, three in Missouri, and one in Tennessee. He was a Leader and Charter Member of the Eight Street Church of God in West Memphis, AR which is now the Marion Church of God and where he chose to have his funeral services.
My Dad always went to the struggling churches, and had great results in growth and was successful in making them better churches. Dad was loved people and never met a stranger, he was outgoing with a great personality. Visiting people in the church and community was his passion and joy in life. He loved to share the Word of God and Pray for any who needed help. One of the greatest gifts my dad left me on this earth was knowing how he Trusted God to provide what he needed for him to serve no matter the circumstances, His ability to stand strong no matter the obstacles , and His Faith in God. My dad never failed to provide what his family needed throughout his life and Ministry.  He will be forever in my heart and always...
" He fought a good fight, He finished his course, He kept the faith".
His ministry lasted more than 55 years and he Spent his life, " Holding Forth the Word of Life."
I will always fondly remember my dad as an Old Time Gospel Preacher who had his own Unique Style of preaching and singing. I am proud to be his daughter. I want my children and grandchildren to remember him for his Faith in God and his desire to lead people to Christ, serve his community, and do his best for his family.

My dad began his call to preach at the age of 12 and spent more than 55 years preaching the gospel, serving his church and community, traveling as evangelist, served as pastor for 11 churches in Arkansas, 4 churches in Kansas, 3 Churches in Missouri, and 1 church in Tennessee. I his pastoral years he never went to the larger churches, his passion was for the struggling church that were closed and needed someone to bring life back into the body.  He did it only by the grace of God and with God's leading. People were the joy of his life and he loved to visit and travel. Dad made many lifetime friends throughout his life who became like family to him and his children.  He loved family and fellowship and you never knew when he might just show up! Dad never met a stranger and usually knew someone everywhere he went.  He was outgoing and creative, I remember him preaching of the roof of the church once to raise money. You didn't have to be a member of his church for him to show up to visit, He loved to visit the local businesses, farmers, etc.  During my high school years he was a substitute teacher, he just loved be out and involved even with the young people.   He will forever be remembered as an  Old Time Gospel Preacher, with a Unique Style of preaching and singing the old favorites, playing his guitar, and his love of people.  Some of his favorite songs were Through it All, I Can Only Imagine, Victory in Jesus, When the Redeemed Are Gathering In, Going Home, Farther Along, I'll Meet You In The Morning, Serenaded by Angels, The Great Speckled Bird, and my favorite " Run if You Want To" .

RIP D.G.Daniels (daddy)
