He was smart, kind, funny, the best storyteller, stubborn, and the best PaPa a girl could have ever hoped for. There are so many wonderful memories that I will treasure, but a few stick out all the time: he would never wear a shirt if he didn't have to, he whistled like a songbird, and when I was with him I felt loved and accepted no matter what. Grammy, Melody, and Sarah, all my love and best hugs.

I worked with Dale at FCI, Butner when we first arrived there in 1976 and remember going to his retirement dinner in 1981.
Dale was a very good, thoughtful and kind person.
My most sincere condolences to Millie and all of his family members.
