Dale F, Weinreich 1936-2019

Dale F. Weinreich 82, went home to Jesus after a long illness on Saturday, January 26, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  Born October 15, 1936 to Fredrick and Martha (Peters) Weinreich in Rochelle, IL.  He graduated from Steward High School in Steward, Illinois.  He then attended Northern Illinois University as a math major.   In 1966 He married Cheryl Brainerd.  He worked for Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet and Prudential Life Insurance Company,  He later owned and operated his own home improvement business.  Supreme Siding & Windows which he sold and than founded Dalco Exteriors,Inc, which he owned and operated for 27 years.

A member of Heartland Community Church for 19 years serving on the SWAT Team, First Impressions Team and Men's Fraternity.  He also participated in Celebrate Recovery for five years.  He served as Sunday School Superintendent at Valley Baptist Church.  He was involved with Hope Ministries for many years serving in whatever capacity he was needed.  Dale had a servant's heart and blessed many people just by being there when someone was needed.

Dale loved reading, movies and sports.  He played basketball and pitched in a fast pitch softball league.  An life long avid golfer, he could almost always be found on the golf course two or three days a week.  He fulfilled a life long bucket wish by attending the 2005 Masters Tournament at Augusta National for seven days.  Wherever he went on a vacation he could be found around a golf course.

Dale has a great sense of humor.  He had the ability to laugh at himself and bring everyone around him to hysterical laughter.  He very much loved and enjoyed his family and friends.  He especially like to play cards as often as he could.

He is survived by his wife, friend and life partner Cheryl of 52 years.  Children: Michael (Charlotta Lindvall) Weinreich, Boston MA; Christoper (Valerie Gershon) Weinreich,  Aurora, CO; Scott (Elizabeth Martindale)Weinreich Fort Meyers, FL; Judd (Maria Ruiz) Weinreich, Machesney Park, IL; Marnie (Jeremy) West, Rockford, IL.  21 grandchildern, 4 great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.  Predeceased by his parents, infant son Mark Weinreich,and nephew Riley Brainerd.

Special thanks with a grateful heart to the warm hearted staff at Heartland Hospice Care.  Your kindness and compassion are very much appreciated.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at Halsted Baptist Church, 3326 Halsted Road, Rockford, IL on Saturday, March 2nd.  Visitation 10:00 am and Celebration at 11:00 am.  The family would like to extend their invitation to join with them for a luncheon after the services at Halsted Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be addressed to the family.
