CLEVELAND - Damien L. "D-Norm" Norman, Sr., 44 , beloved son, brother, dad and grandpa was called to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 while a patient at Cleveland Clinic.
The son of Willie T. Norman and Jeanette (Chatman) Rheins, Damien was born on February 12, 1975 in Ashtabula and had remained a lifelong area resident.
Damien was employed as a welder with Worthington Cylinder and enjoyed his job and his fellow employees.
Damien enjoyed fishing and working on cars. His love of music drew many people into his life. He was a DJ and produced music for many local artists. D-Norm was fun loving and had a wonderful sense of humor. His dedication to his family and friends was unmatched. He was proud of his children and their accomplishments. His voice was full of emotion when he told his friends how great their lives were going. His really enjoyed being a grandpa and there was nothing he would not do for them.
Damien will be remembered for his strength and courage through his illness and his great love of family and friends.
Damien is survived by his mother, Jeannette (Ralph ) Rheins; children, Maria (Steven) Bynum, D'Aundrae Norman, Damien L. Norman, Jr., De'Vonte Norman, Deondra Hood, Marlon Hunter, Amari Norman and Taya Norman; grandchildren, Logan, Quinton, Ryleigh, Aaliyah and Brielle; brother, Christopher Norman; many extended family members and friends.
Damien was preceded in death by his dad, Willie T. Norman; brother, Quentin Norman; maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, 3738 West Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. Emory Moore, Pastor of New Hope Pentecostal Church, Eulogist. Rev. Dr. German Womack, Pastor of Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, is officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
