I still cannot believe that I cannot pick up the phone and call you. I cannot believe we are not looking forward to the next time we will see each other or go on an adventure together. I miss you so much. It sucks not having my best friend around. Heck, I still miss your Mom and Dad. They were so good to me during our early college years. I am especially thinking of you lately. I am speaking at the Celebration of Life for my Mom in just a few days. She really cared for you. It's a family celebration and you were always considered part of our large extended family. I made sure I included your picture with her (at her 89th birthday} to be placed in her memories slide show. My brothers and sisters will enjoy seeing your smiling face. I know you will be there with me.

I miss you, my friend. You were a wonderful father to our girls. You consistently showed them what a father should be. Your love for them was never questioned. Your quirky nature brought many smiles to their faces. I will never forget how happy you were having all three of your girls together in Savannah just this past January. Even though we parted marital ways years ago, your ongoing friendship meant the world to me. I know that you are watching from above, and my promise to you will never change. Hugs

I worked with Dana as a real estate agent at Coast Equities in Long Beach. My name at that time was Cheryl Sutton. Dana was my favorite person at the company. He was sweet, funny, charming, and smart. Everyone liked Dana. In 1980 I left real estate and joined the Air Force. One of the last times I saw Dana was my wedding at March AFB in 1982. Over the years we lost touch with each other. I am so sad to learn of his passing. I have looked at the gallery and read the tributes and it is comforting to know he had such a great life. How wonderful to be so deeply loved. To his dear family and friends please accept my sincerest condolences.

Looking through all these pictures has made me realize how much Dana lived his life to the fullest. His infectious smile shows the true love he felt for so many in his life. What an amazing father he was to all his girls. So thankful for the time he had with Barbara. Although I didn’t see much of Dana over the past 20 years, every time I did he made me feel like I was still his kid “sister-in-law” and always greeted me with a big hug and loud “aunt Kacky”! Thank you Dana for loving Donna, Lauren and Jaime so deeply. You were a good man! I’m sorry to miss his celebration of life tomorrow. Prayers of comfort to all. Love, Aunt Kacky

Missing my sweet love on Valentine's Day even more. Thank you for the beautiful life and endless love we shared. I'll continue to love, honor, respect and miss my beautiful man forever. As I mentioned every day, you gave me 1000s of reasons to love you ... you are the best man, husband, father, friend and love, and I am grateful for not only our life since I moved to Georgia, but for the deep love that started almost 45 years ago.

In 1978 we moved into our first house and within months decided to install a hot tub. We wanted it sunk in the ground, so a hole had to be dug and the ground was hard clay. Ron proceeded to dig a hole. At some point Dana came to visit for a weekend and this shows what a good friend he was....he helped dig the hole! The hole was nearly dug and I (Carole) decided the hole needed to be a few inches to the left. Dana helped make the hole wider. It was hard work, digging with a pick-ax and shovels. That is a friend indeed.

I'm so sorry that Dana has left us. I will truly miss him. He was so happy and so full of life. I always enjoyed his company. On the day that Dana died that night I saw Dana in a dream. He had that big smile on his face and a pretty woman on each arm. The next morning my son told me that Dana had passed. I knew then that what I had seen was a couple of angels taking Dana home. Rest in peace my friend. We will meet again.
