Age 69 of Dayton, Ohio. Passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton, with family by his side on February 3, 2019. Born the youngest boy in a family of four children, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base on May 12, 1949. He was raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, served as a Tank Driver in the US Army, during the Vietnam war, and later became a well-known painter in the Dayton community, before retiring with Dayton Investment Group in early 2000.
Daniel Francis Nixon is preceded in death by Father, Samuel Nixon, Mother Elizabeth ( Keenan ) Nixon, Brothers, Sam Nixon and John Nixon, Sister, Victoria Lynn Nixon, all of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He is also proceeded in death by loving Mother to his children, Frances ( Carter ) Nixon, of Dayton Ohio.
Daniel is survived by his two sons, Daniel (Aggie) Nixon, and Bruce R. Young, his two daughters, Meghan C. Nixon, and Casey (Brandon) Clark, adopted like daughter, Toni M. Howard, beloved grandsons, Daniel Nixon, Bruce “Ray” Young, Lane Cyprych, Declan Clark, and adopted like twin grandchildren “Tom and Jerry “. Daniel loved fishing, music, drawing, painting, to laugh, and thought all women were “ just beautiful”. He devoted all of his kindness to people around him, but there is nothing he loved more than his “babies”. His daughters Meghan and Casey would like to note a special thank to his nurses “Angels” Liz Roegge, Christin “Christine” Douglas, and Jackie Glueckert for their years of care, comfort, and friendship. Daniel will be truly missed by those who knew him and apart of so many great memories.
