Dogs are the best judges of character and my dog positively LOVED Dan!! I can't say his name in my house or tell her that "Dan is on his way" because she immediately runs to the back door and won't leave until he shows up.

I met Dan in 1984 when Bill Lambert brought him to help build a deck for us, and he was a wonderful friend for all these years. He was a lifesaver for my mother and I keeping our property maintained--no job was too small or menial and in an emergency (such as pipes breaking and flooding my apartment in the middle of the night). He was always just a phone call away. He was such a hard worker but also great family man and I know he's finally getting to just relax and watch over his family that he adored.

We first met Dan when we were sitting on a park bench on the Ala Wai canal in Waikiki. We have a dog and he stopped and said that he used to have a dog that looked like ours but he was brown. When I first met Dan, he did not drink beer, but as we hung out together, he started to drink Heineken with me. During his time over here, I introduced him to the finest beer in life like Old English 800, Schlitz Malt liquor and Mickeys big mouth. I'm glad to see he still enjoyed drinking beer when he went back to Oregon. He was always quick to help people expecting nothing in return. He was a good friend and will be missed.

With much Love,
Bob and Lynn

My dad was my everything. He was the one we all could count on to help with anything. And he loved every second of it. I am forever changed by his loss. I love you, daddy.

Daddy's Girl

My dad and I went to a Bryan Adams concert a couple of years back. We didn't agree on a lot of music, but this was one artist we both really enjoyed, so when I saw the tickets, I asked my dad to go with me. We bought a 6 pack of Bud Light before the concert, and looked all around that store for a bottle opener. We finally found one, I think my dad ended up spending like $8 bucks on it, get back to our hotel room and find out the bottles were twist offs! I can remember my dad cracking up over the situation, I can see his expression in my head. That was a trip I will always hold close to my heart.
