Daniel W. Zimmer, 61 years old, was born on August 14, 1960 in Dayton, OH and passed away on August 1, 2022 in Dayton, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joanne Thompson and Wayne Zimmer; his son, Jesse Zimmer; and his nephew, Andy Reker. Daniel leaves to cherish his memory his caring children, Nina (Bryan) Bays and Zackery (Heather Young) Zimmer; his grandchildren, Johnathon Marsh, Trinity Bays, and Allie Bays; his sisters, Tammy (Bobby) Bates and Janelle (Troy) Oren; his stepfather, Dwight Thompson, his nieces and nephews, Jason (April) Reker, Michael (Heather) Reker, and Olivia Oren; his cousin, Cindi Hinders; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends. Daniel will be remembered as a loving dad and pawpaw; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in wildlife. He worked at Little York Tavern in Dayton for many years and his coworkers were a pleasure to him. A funeral service to honor his memory will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 2 PM at Brookville First United Church, 963 Salem Street, Brookville, Ohio 45309; family receiving friends at 1 PM.
