I never got to meet Danielle either, but I have known Keith for 18 years. Because I know Keith, I can imagine what kind of woman Danielle was. And while the loss of such a young person is always tragic, this is the most tragic of all. Danielle, you will be missed through your family and through Keith, and through them, I will miss you too.

I had the pleasure of meeting Danielle a few times because I worked with her brother Doug. She was always carrying an amazing smile on her face. From what Doug used to say it seemed she was a pretty amazing sister as well. I too lost a loved one recently so if any of you need to talk I'm here for any of you. <3 Debra

I never had the honor to meet Danielle, however I am Keiths cousin and the type of person Keith is speaks volumes and many should strive to be the type of person he has always been so I know she must have been amazing. My thoughts and prayers are with Danielles family as well as the Smiths. May God grace and embrace her with loving arms.

I worked with Danielle's father, Dave many years ago in Huntsville, AL. I last saw Danielle when she was about 11 at a Christmas gathering at Dave's house.  What a wonderful, close knit family and sweet girl who apparently grew into a loving, caring young woman.  Words cannot adequately express my sorrow and sympathy for the family.  May God comfort you in your time of need.

Hi Danielle, I went to your viewing (wake) tonight, and I am attending your funeral tomorrow. I still can't believe your gone. As I looked around at all of your friends and family today I got stuck on one question: How do I, How do we all say goodbye?

How do we say goodbye to a daughter, a sister, a fiance?

How do we say goodbye to a loved one, a best friend, a lover, a wife to be, and
... an expectant mother?

How do we say goodbye to a great person and a wonderful friend?

How do we say goodbye to a Jager drinker, and a die hard Buffalo Bills fan?

How do we say goodbye to a women who was still in her prime and at the
beginning of her life, a women who had the drive to not only dream big but
fulfill those dreams, and who inspired us?

How do we say goodbye to a women who was the very essence of "you can't
read a book by its cover."?

How do we say goodbye to a women who always had a sparkle in her eye,
a joke on her tongue, a laugh in her throat and a smile on her lips?
How do we say goodbye to a women who made all our lives a little better just by knowing you?
How do we say goodbye to someone we shouldn't have to say goodbye to yet?
.
.
.
.

How do we say goodbye to someone who we never go to say goodbye to....

How do we tell you:
We Love You,
We Miss You,
And you will ALWAYS be a part of our hearts, minds and souls.

And then it came to me. You already know: your watching us now. And
everytime somebody reads this memorial page, or writes a posting, we all
remember and honor you.

WE LOVE YOU AND WILL NEVER FORGET YOU DANIELLE! GOD BLESS YOU!

Hey Danielle… I had a hard time focusing at work this week. Forgetting things for my work appointments  and having to turn around back home and retrieve them;  missing turns and exits while I’m driving; on my overnight work trip this week, I  took some dinner to-go, left with my food but never signed the tab and left my credit card at the restaurant! Y’know, spaced out things like that! A day had not gone by that I hadn’t wept thinking about you…. I am not working today, though.

Your time here on earth was much too short. I am so glad that we met you and Keith at Friar Tucks and that we just somehow hit it off with you two,  even though Phil & I were 20+ years your senior!  You made us feel young!   We experienced wild and crazy fun, we shared a lot of laughs with you. But I saw the quiet side of you too. Especially when we would see you and you just got out of bed… what? Was it 1 in the afternoon? Like when we would see you for a 1 o’clock football game? Or those times when you would ask me for advice… It usually had to do with how to please someone or show appreciation whether it was Keith, Keith’s parents, etc. That’s how you were. You were a very giving person.

You were so very young. It was such nonsense that you thought you were old! I remember plenty of times, hearing you say that. You just had dreams, such attainable dreams. You spoke often how you thought you “should be married by now and a mother with children.”   I know you found that love with Keith and you worked so hard to cherish that with him. You also wanted to someday own and manage a restaurant or bar. I could see that drive within you.  You knew what you wanted and you would work hard to achieve it. I admired that about you.

So, I took the day off from work today. It is Friday, January 20th, 2012 when I will later say one final goodbye to you. It will not be forever though. I will see you someday. I’ll be looking for you and when I see you, I will say “Hello!”

Until then, may you forever be happy, smiling, and if there are any tears where you are, may they only be tears of joy.
