Happy 56th Birthday DJ. I love and miss you so much. This year hasn't gotten any better for mom. She just keeps getting worse. I know she remembers alot, I kills me to leave her in there. I wish I could talk to you. But I know you are better off now. I love you little brother

Well my sweet brother today you would have been 55 years old. Gosh DJ I miss you so much. Mom is so sick and has demita. She misses you and Cooter so bad. But I am doing my best. Noone but Steven helps. Brayden still shows her a lot of love. I sure wish you were still here. I miss you so much. Happy birthday  I love you

Well brother here we are again. Another birthday but it was yesterday. I am so sorry I am late. Today was 5 years ago you left us. And you would have been 52!!! I have to tell you about this grandbaby of yours. His name is Brayden Cole. DJ he is so much like Haven when he was little. We are all he has. Carly is with you and Tammy is to now. His only grandparents are Mom. So I stepped in and became Nana. April is doing a great job raising him. He is also so much like Carly. I love you and I miss you so much.

Yesterday was your birthday. 51 years old. And today marks the 4th year you left us. But this year brother it is a lot different. Today we are laying Cooter to rest. To much has happened and I sure wish you were here. I really need you. Mom needs you more than anyone. But sadly we cant have you back. I love you brother.

Happy birthday DJ. Today is the big 50. Wow we are old now! But where you are is so much better. I can't even imagine how beautiful it is there in Heaven. No more heartache. No pain. No getting old. But above all seeing Jesus. Your babies are doing great. Little Brayden is a hot mess, and Haven is such a sweetheart. Blake is so kind and sweet. I wish you could have met them all. I love and miss you so much.

Yesterday was your birthday. Hard to believe you would have been 49 years old. Dang little brother we are getting on up there now. And today it is 2 years since you left us. We all miss you so much. It just isn't the same with out you anymore. I think of you often and I remember all the times we talked. I know now you are at peace with everything and there are no more fears. That is the only thing that really gives me any comfort is knowing you are at peace now. I love you so much. Your sister.

He loved family time in the last part of his life. He just wanted to be around us. He taught my boys to paint when they knocked over a paint bucket. He played at the beach with us. He rode paddle boats with Heaven. He just wanted to be a family man. And in the end he was.

Fight in the hall

WWe were young and home alone in the winter at mom's. We had been fussing and I started ticking him (he hated it!) Anyway he ran into the bedroom and closed the door. As I was coming down the hall he stuck his fist out and hit me in the eye. Needless to say it hurt and I had a blackeye!!! But the worse was I got mad and hit the wall some way or another flipping the switch on the central heating and air and the air came in and we were about froze when mom and Cooter got home. So I had to lie about my eye and the air. Just to cover up for the both of us.
