Danny Ray Oakley, 42, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at his home.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of Mitchell Dan Oakley and Donna Autrey. He was of the Baptist faith and worked at Oakley Logging.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Frankie Tanner. Burial will be private.
Surviving other than his parents are his wife, Cameron Bonnoitt Oakley of Marion, S.C., three daughters; Savannah Oakley of Durham, Georigia Oakley of Durham and Sophia Oakley of Marion, S.C., a sister, Samantha O. Johnson of Creedmoor.
Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Salvation Oaks Recovery Center, Greenwood, S.C.

I always remember how Danny assisted me in passing messages to his Mom, Donna. He would laugh and say I'll tell Mama, ya'll are so crazy. He has the sweetest smile and kindest heart. He is will always be in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. The worst pain in a Father's and Mother's heart is to see your child pass before them, there are no words that can help. It takes time and the help of God and Jesus Christ to releave the hurt. Danny was always a polite and loving child. He was a great freind to everyone. Always you will be in my heart and I look forward to seeing You again when I go to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
