Life is the greatest gift that God has given us. Death is only a bridge towards eternal life with God. Centainly , heaven is rejoicing for another soul has finally reached his true home. For ever in my heart my brother from the old hood.

"It Will Never Be Goodbye…
By an Unknown Author

If I should go tomorrow
It would never be goodbye,
For I have left my heart with you,
So don’t you ever cry.
The love that’s deep within me,
Shall reach you from the stars,
You’ll feel it from the heavens,
And it will heal the scars."

I found this poem online and I immediately felt Dario speaking these words to us. I miss you bro.

His Life
October 20, 2021
Dario was born on May 29th, 1970 to Martha and Miguel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The family migrated to New York in 1976.

After Dario graduated from Port Chester High School in 1988, he went on to attend NYU on scholarship to pursue a degree in Mathematics and Engineering.

Dario worked in the electrical, home security and audio/visual industries for over 25 years. He was passionate about designing custom a/v systems and loved what he did for a living. Dario also had an unwavering commitment to his customers and over the years built countless close and loyal relationships.

In 1995, he met Mary thru mutual friends. Dario and Mary were married in Port Chester, NY on October 6, 2003 and went on to have two beautiful girls, Damarys Juliette and Maryssa Carmen.

Dario was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give his girls the life he felt they deserved no matter what the challenges. His daughters meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Damarys and Maryssa, and always did his best to support them. Anyone who knew Dario knew that he was the most loving father any child could ask for.

Dario was also a passionate sports fan. He loved the NY Knicks, the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Yankees.

Dario was predeceased by his father Miguel Angel and sister Elizabeth Carol. He is survived by his daughters Damarys Juliette and Maryssa Carmen; his wife Mary; his mother Martha; his sister Roxana Cooke and brother-in-law Damien Cooke.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves us memories no one can steal.
Dario, thank you for being an amazing uncle to me for putting the basketball in my hand at the age of 8 loving the game more then anything thank you for pushing me to keep playing hard. Remembering us watching the New York Knicks play your favorite team. I will never for get the many nights on Irving Avenue in my back yard playing ball til it got dark out hours of coaching me because u knew I could be great once you left I stopped playing the game it wasn’t fun anymore to keep playing with out you encouraging me to come outside and play. Thanks for being there for me when my pops passed sending me those letters every other week helped me know you was that special uncle that cared and wanted the best for me. Tears will never end as we all grieve in many ways please keep watching over me. May you Rest In Peace now til we meet again.

Dario told us that "Tito Nieves dedicated this song to his son Ommy, who he lost to cancer in 2004 just before this album was released."  So my mom, Dario and me used to listen to this song in remembrance of my sister Liz, who passed in 2001.
I thought it would be appropriate here too.
