I have such tender memories of time with my mom during this period. She grew us a huge incredible garden with vegetables, fruits, and flowers. I can remember her sending me out to gather items while she was cooking dinner. She made homemade cookies and doughnuts and let me taste the dough. I remember her giving me a bath with baking soda when I had chicken pox and watching the muppet show on TV... and many other sweet memories of my early childhood.

She was an incredible mom, and I'm so proud that she was mine.

Mom played a huge role in my wedding to Dave, which was held in Los Ayala, Mexico. This is the town Darlene and Bill lived in for 6-7 months each year. It was an incredible and fun wedding week and mom made it joyous and adventurous of course!

Darlene was so proud of her first great grandchild, Ziah. He was born in May 2020 and she and Bill spent a lot of time with Ziah during this summer.
