Darlene Walters Clements left her earthly home, bound for Heaven’s Glories, and Celebration with Christ her Lord and Savior, on June 21, 2017.
She was born in Alamance County, N.C. on July 22, 1948 to loving parents Walter Clyde Walters and Crettie Pauline Sauls. Darlene was of the Baptist Faith, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Southern Alamance High School and a very happy retiree of 39 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. Darlene loved to travel, making precious memories with her special friends; and she treasured time spent with her husband and family on Atlantic Beach.
Darlene is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Harold Clements; sister, Vickie Coble (Tommy) of Graham; sister-in-law, Sue Walters of Knoxville, Tenn; brothers, Melvin Walters of Graham and Gary Walters of California, Mike Walters (Pam) and Terry Walters (Noah Nolasco) of Graham; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her sweet puppy Paws. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William C. “Buck” Walters.
Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Marc Tilley on Friday June 23, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:45 P.M. and at others times at the home.
