His Life
September 27, 2015

Mr. Cook was born in Heard County, Georgia on July 7, 1924, the son of the late Ernest Walter Cook and Sammie Pauline Jones Cook. He served his county honorably in the United States Navy where he was an Apprentice Seaman, and was a Methodist by faith. As a skilled carpenter he built many homes and businesses in the area. No building project was too hard for him to conquer. He was also a very talented artist who especially enjoyed doing water colors and pencil drawings. Gardening was a favorite pastime, and he grew the biggest and best Big Boy tomatoes around! In his spare time he loved to watch Braves Baseball, and Falcons Football. He had a winning personality, and loved his family. He will long be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Junko Robert of Braselton, GA., Carlene White of Pensacola, FL., and Brenda Williams (Michael) of Newnan, GA.; one son, Ben Cook (Debbie) of Franklin, GA.; two sisters Martha Jane Garrett , and Linda Ann Wood; one brother, Mitchell Cook; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
