His Life

Daryl Lorenzo Jackson

July 6, 2021
Daryl Lorenzo Jackson was born at University Hospital in Newark, NJ on May 27, 1963.  He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 29, 2021 in Whiting NJ.

Daryl was a long-time resident of Toms River, playing Pop Warner in his earlier years and JV Football whileattending Toms River High School South. He also studied at Union Technical School, Union NJ. Daryl proudly served in the United States Army.

Daryl married Carol Gaston on September 19, 1992.  This union produced 3 beautiful children, Avery Jonathon, Xavier Jordan and Daria Brielle.

Daryl worked for over 30 years in the field of appliance repairs, most recently to include Sears and Bosch Industries.  His hard work ethic, outstanding customer service and great personality moved him from a technician to management positions where he helped many people along the way.

Daryl loved the finer things in life and had a kind and giving heart.  He was a friend to many and always greeted you with a smile. In his earlier years, Daryl enjoyed playing softball, riding his motorcycle and being on his boat.  He also had a hidden talent in drawing portraits, but his main attribute was his intellect and his ability to succeed at all he had attempted. His last and most prized achievement being a home he was having built for his family. Always, most central to him was his wife, Caroland his three children, of whom he loved dearly and was extremely proud of.

Daryl leaves to cherish his memory:  His beloved wife of 28 years, Carol (Gaston); his sons Avery and Xavier and his daughter Daria; his Mother, Barbara Jackson of S. Toms River NJ, Grandmother, Esther Wyatte of S. Toms River, his siblings Yvette Coppin (Henderson Coppin),  William Jacksonboth of Lakewood, NJ and JenellJackson of Toms River NJ, brother in laws, Donnie Clyburn of Marshville NC, Larry Clyburn(Denise) of Washington DC,  Eldridge Cylburn ( Gail) of South Toms River, sister in law, Gloria Clayton, Lakewood, NJ.  Hisuncle, Ernest Wedner and aunts Betty Wedner, Long Branch, NJ and Francis Fisher, Neptune NJ.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

May this husband, this son, this brother, this uncle, this nephew, this cousin and friend of many outstanding qualities take his place in the heavens, watching over us all as we know he will. He will truly be missed.
