Leave a tributeThe beauty in returning to our Father creates peace for our bodies and immortality for our souls. In the words of my favorite poet:
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)
~ E.E. Cummings ~

I was so very very sad to hear about our sweet Daunae. I was Daunae's third grade teacher at Arlintgon Heights Elementary School. No matter what kind of day I was having, Daunae ALWAYS made me smile and laugh. She will be missed! Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Buddy Walk 2012
In this picture, Daunae is possing with Annette Guzman, one of the PPODS mom, during the Buddy Walk of 2012. It was a sunny day full of fun, friends, new friends, families, etc. All sharing the joy of having a child with Down syndrome in our lives. That is what Daunae was for her family and friends: a Big Joy!
Big smiles
I went to meet Dawn's family and friends down AC. When I walking into one of the bedrooms Daumae was on the bed with her earplugs in singing her tunes than she jump out up and hug me like always. Daunae was always so full of life and enjoyed herself every time I saw her. Angel on earth. Her smiles was so BEAUTIFUL!!!
