Mr. David Lee Redding Alexander was born June 25, 1946

to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Annie Pearl Alexander in Chambers County, AL. He departed this life on August 15, 2016 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.

 

David attended Rehobeth High School in Fairfax, AL. He was employed with West Point Pepperell for over 40 years to take care of his family, who he loved dearly. David was better known as “Keystone” and “David the Baby” as his mother would call him.


He was united in Holy Matrimony to Cora Reed Alexander for thirty-six years.

 

David was preceded in death by two loving sons, James Earl Alexander and Kelvin B. Alexander; four brother and one sister, Chester, John Henry, Robert, Willie and Pearly Mae.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories; his lovely wife, Cora Alexander, Lanett, AL; five loving children, Twalya (Tony) Alexander-Southern, Delicia Benson, Angelia (Shon) Cooks, Anthony (Regina) Reed all of Atlanta, GA; Norris (Amy) Reed, Lanett, AL; 14 grandchildren, J. Kortez Lewis, Shaniva

Armstrong, Destiney Handford, Kenesha Wright, Ashley Alexander, Alexandria Williams, Angel, Anthony, Alex, Brittany, Michelle, Ashley, Kennedy and Zachery; one great great grandchild, three sisters, Mary Evans, San Diego, CA; Rose Shephard and Ann Crawford, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Daniel (Patricia) Gooden, Valley, Aland Lee Roy Redding, Atlanta, GA; three sister-in-law’s, Evelyn, Betty Sue, and Janice; four brother-in-law’s, Jimmie Lee, Willie James, Terry and Scotty Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
