David H. Averette, 56, a resident of 3157 Walters Road ,Creedmoor, NC passed away Saturday, January 29th 2011 at Duke Hospice of Meadowlands.
 
A native of Vance County, the son of Louis Averett and the late Rosa Moss Averett. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a self employed auto technician.
 
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 31st at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church by Dr. Marc Tilley, Rev. Tommy Robertson and Rev. Craig Currin. Burial will in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Oxford.
 
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Ellen S. Averette of the home, a daughter, MEI Averette of the home, two sons, Casey Averette and Elliott Averette, both of Creedmoor, two sisters, Cathy Eudy and Betsy Dement, both of Creedmoor and one grandson.
 
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 745, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
 
Visitation Monday, January 31st from 12:30-2:00PM prior to the funeral service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Oh my oh my....what to say??? Im so glad you got to meet your 1st grandchild Jordan! You can trust that he will always know who you are! Hes a smart little boy! He has seen plenty of pictures of you and he says "papa?" Its so sweet!You will always be missed and loved by everyone!

Ellen, MEI, Casey, and Elliott: I am sorry about the loss of David. He was definitely a friend to all. I remember all of the days of going to school and church functions when David was always there. His service was so nice. I loved the musical band and the video. David would have been so proud. I'll keep all of you in my prayers. Brenda Brogden

"Groucho" was my childhood buddy and friend,we had known each other since we were 6 years old. There were many days and nights of playing ball and fishing, along with our other buddies, Craig,Guy,Jerome and Lennie. You have gone to soon and we loved you and will miss you.
