IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR BELOVED PATRIARCH AND MATRIARCH OF THE BELL FAMILY

DAVID BENNETT BELL II - 07/21/1932 - 06/27/2016 - AND - HELEN KATHRYN BELL - 10/07/1935 - 04/15/2014 -

They were married 57.7 years and they have left a legacy. Their children and grandchildren love them dearly, miss them very much and will always be grateful for their love, devotion, guidance and sacrifices.

Our father was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served as a medic. Our mother, before meeting our father was going to enter the convent, but God had a different plan.....! They met each other in Bellville, IL and were married on September 8, 1956. From there, life would be lived and it would be an adventure filled to the brim.

From Chicago & Bellville, IL to Abington, PA to Atlanta & Lilburn GA, and parts in between, then to Port St Joe, Sarasota, Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart, FL. We followed them everywhere, and were glad to be a part of it all!

David B Bell II loved to fish, live by the ocean and was a sea captain, whether on the ocean or in his dreams.  He raised his children with a code of conduct that we would be productive, independent individuals, giving back versus taking. Our father was a great man. He never had a role model, yet he became one of the best!

Helen K Bell loved without limits and she was the softest place to fall that we ever knew. Equally, she was as great a role model as she was a wonderful mother. She loved life, loved people and had an endearing personality that could simply melt butter. She was our sunshine!

David and Helen Bell are survived by their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as follows:

Children: Mary (Bell) and her husband, Victor Simmons; Debbie Bell; David Bennett Bell III and his wife, Jeanne Bell; Jennifer (Bell) and her husband, Phil Schmidt and Richard Bell.

Grandchildren are: Michelle (Simmons) and her husband Andy Reuter; D.J. Bell, Lauren, Lindsey, Matthew Bell and his wife, Morgan; Kristi (Schmidt) and her husband, James Crossingham

Great Grandchildren are: Samantha Bell and Meredith Reuter; Georgia Paige, Nora Bell and James Henry Crossingham V.

We are especially grateful to Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ for His blessings on bestowing us parents that cared, and did the best they could, which was nothing short of wonderful.

MISS YOU WITH ALL MY HEART

The nucleus of our family passed away yesterday at 7:45, holding his hand the eldest daughters was able to be with him in his passing breathe. Ironically they shared the same day of birth. 07/21. Our father was a great provider. For five children, as well as an amazing adviser of life. Even though he grew up as an only child. With the amazing love and compassion for each other, our parents were able to provide a family a life of experience, love and choices .They provided love to everyone one of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After losing his life partner 2 years and 2 months ago. He lived a life of hollowness and loneliness  They are now together in heaven. Thank you for your love and understanding of raising 5 very different, but yet loving children. No one could have done a better job. .
