I have known Dave since I was in 3rd grade because he & my brother were best friends.
Dave & I served in Vietnam, at aprox. the same time, and at the Peoria Police dept for the 23 yrs I was there.
I was so sorry to hear of his passing, he will be missed, God be with him!

Dave!

SEMPER FIEDELIS MARINE!

Thinking of ya!

And a line from our Marine Corps Hymn...
'If the Army or the Navy were to visit Heaven's Scenes ... they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines (and Marine/PPD Officer David Hummels).

Keep em in 'order' Marine.

You, David, are an ORIGINAL!

To the Hummels family,

My name is Loren Marion III. I am the Chief of Police. I had the pleasure of working with Dave for about 6 years. Dave was a great guy. I want to send my heart felt condolences to the entire family. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the visitation or the funeral service due to meetings. I wanted you to know that I was thinking about you. I'm sorry for your loss. -Loren
