My Brother David

March 6, 2019

David Edward Hosler – Died on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Cherrelyn Healthcare Center in Littleton, CO after a year-long fight with prostate cancer. He was 66. David was born on January 16, 1953 in Flint MI, the son of Frederick B. Hosler (deceased) and Edith Louise Hosler. David grew up in Michigan. He played right tackle on the Goodrich High School football team. He moved to San Diego CA with his family in 1970. David was musically talented and played Alto-Saxophone in a band he formed with friends in San Diego. David received an AA Degree and was a Certified Orthopedic Technician. David went by the moniker “Starman”. He loved Astrology and became an expert in the field. He studied the movement of the heavens and firmly believed that the stars and one’s birth date and time were influential in our daily lives. He was also computer geek and loved to produce intriguing computer graphic effects. He was left handed (right brained) which seemed to allow him to more easily enter the para-normal. He would often relate encounters he had with loved ones that has passed or with travels he had taken throughout the universe. In 2007 David relocated to Denver, CO and worked as home health care-giver where he cared selflessly for his mother Edith for several years. He loved the Rocky Mountains where spent much of his time. David was a loving man and had a wonderfully dry sense of humor. He would always find a way to make us laugh. He loved his family, politics, and football. His favorite teams were the San Diego Chargers and later the Denver Broncos. David is survived by his mother. Edith Hosler (age 95), brothers, John Hosler and wife Mona of Mooresville, NC and Tom Hosler and wife Kata of Seattle WA. David is also survived by his nephews Eric Hosler of Burbank, CA, Ryan Hosler and wife Amiee of Lynchburg, VA and Hanz Hosler of Seattle, WA. David has joined the love of his life Robyn (Robbie) Anderson who was his soul-mate for more than 20 years before her death in 2017. David you left us all too soon. We love and miss you dearly.

A celebration of David’s life is being planned for June 2019.
