His Life

David Franklin "Frank" McClendon Jr.

June 15, 2021
David Franklin McClendon Jr ("Frank"), of Brick, NJ, passed away after a bout with cancer…he was 79. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Englewood, NJ, David enjoyed playing baseball as a kid…as an outfielder, he played in both the Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball. David also loved his cars…he had a special affinity for the Datsun 240Z, and LOVED talking about cars with anyone. Once David graduated from Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, he enlisted into the United States Navy and served from 1960-1964. Upon leaving the Navy, David became a computer engineer, settling down in the New York City area. He was a contractor working for Unisys, when he found himself in the North tower on 9/11. Having quite the story to tell, he was fortunate enough to make it back home safely. David enjoyed fishing, science fiction, spending time with his two grandkids, and just chatting with you while sitting outside enjoying the weather.

David is survived by his wife Patricia, his two sons David III (his wife Yazneri) and Daniel, two brothers Dennis and Dale, and two grandchildren David IV and Alexandria.
