The Nwabunor's (Pamela, Sandra, Martin and Little Goziem) and the Nwabudike's (Agnes, Henry, Caroline, Reginald) all used to attend Our Lady of Apostles, Private, Nursery, School, Herbert Macaulay Street, Yaba Lagos.
From 1972 upwards from the time Mrs Helen Osugo (Late) was Head Mistress and Rev, sisters Benignus and Mary Martin were Principals/Proprietors successively. Those mentioned here, some are now late, while the rest are still living. May the good Lord have mercy on us all. Amen.
Henry Nwabudike.

Adieu Dre/DT

Till we meet again “Yeah Yeah”.

Your mission is accomplished, hence you had to go back home.

Though painful to realize and accept, we MUST give God the glory.

You positively touched a lot of lives....mines and my family as well.

Till we meet again ....keep the ‘groove’ going in heaven.

Much love,

Busola and Bobby Adigun, and family.

*A tribute to a friend who changed my life: Dr Dre David yeyeye Nwabunor*

I write this with a big sense of loss but with total submission to God and belief that David lived an impactful life, lived life to the fullest and left a positive legacy in his short stay here with us
I just want to be on record to say thank you God for allowing my path to cross with Dr Dre Nwabunor’s !
By the time I arrived Trinidad Dre had already moved to Grenada but his story was everywhere in San Fernando
One evening in 1997 Dr Martin Umeh and I had gone to a club in Port of Spain ( I think upper level is the name ) and we saw this guy shuffling and hustling on the dance floor: we thought this must be Dr Dre and went over and introduced ourselves and he said “ my guy good to see you” he gave us audience and said he brought a patient to Port of Spain and will be leaving the next morning back to Grenada: that’s my only meeting with him
I left for the USA the next year 1998.
Fast forward 2001: was in Houston with Dr Akintayo and Umeh and got a call from Dre and I said come on over based on that chance meeting in upper level
Dre was a kindred spirit and we bonded
I was preparing to take the optometric aptitude test as in those days you had to do optometry all over again to practice in the USA: Dre said “ my guy, you can as well do medicine straight, I have seen guys older than you do it at st George’s in Grenada “ He sowed a seed and watered it and will not stop until I took MCAT and got admitted into medical school here.
He was practically the only one that saw a positive side to my decision
I personally owe my journey into medicine as Dre’s decision and owe him a depth of gratitude
I consider him a brother and thank God everyday that I got to meet him and spent time with him. His “ nourishments” will forever remain with me and my family
I don’t know how else to say thank you than to put this here:
Dre you have gone to early but will not be forgotten
May you Rest In Peace in the bosom of the most high God. Only He knows why he called you early but you positively touched many lives and mine included
God will guide your family through these difficult times and will see them through this in Jesus name I pray Amen
Yours sincerely
“The world Boris” as Dre will say

What’s in a name ?
David the man after God’s heart.. a king and a priest...first he was chosen , then the anointing process... smeared vs poured then robbed in .... had a crown and a priestly Robe, understood the difference between the alter of the lord and the palace of the king ..
So also our David ... a true catholic priest, all events and sacraments compliant, with crown dropped at the sacristy, yet in his palace he drops the robe and his Crown that everything and everyone feels at home ,an in one ... waited a life time for his Queen (Leila)and prince (Dustin)...then he gave up the earthly Robe and crown.. only to be in the presence of the TRUE KING OF KINGS.. THE LORD OF LORDS....now dancing as he did naked and in favor, with flavor and fragrance of the Lord..... Have your way Lord have your way....

For your ways are not the ways of man ... as as man we still in awe of your ways and yours ....

... incoherent of me but never in doubt of you Lord... bless be your chosen one David ... We all knew he was after your heart...but give us heart to bear this one ..for we just wanted one more dance with douyor ...but his beats sounds on ,in our hearts ...

Rest well David.
