DAVID WORKING PIZZA SHOP

September 6, 2016

When David garduated from NCC he went to Albany and we tried to stay in touch.
This was before cell phones pagers face book and before unlimited texting and long distance.  I called David at the pizza palor he worked at part time in Albany to catch up. He was telling me he was working with an total idoit moron.  I asked how stupid was he, and he started LOL that the kid was slicing a pie up and ran the pizza cutter over his own hand as we where talking. David was all excited LOL.  I think that may be the last time I talked to David.  Its so much easier talking and keeping track of friends today.    Reminds me of the movie with Kevin Costner the Groovers a group of college friends that go on a  road trip after grauation and at the end they all go there own seperate ways, and two are saying goodbye and the other says have a nice life.  We shared a important growing up part of our lives together and I will always cherish those young inocent fun times and memories.  David was a great friend and did and will imapct my life.  I am just sorry I did start my search for my old friend sooner.  Rest in Peace my Friend

LATE NIGHT DINER BAR HOPING

September 5, 2016

David and I became friends at Nassau Community college

We went bar hoping one night and went to a late night diner.

His brother Larry was at the diner with David Wayne Lapisky Mike Sabin and Mike Popalarsky

When it came time to order food, I ordered a cheeseburger deluxe and chocolate shake.

I not being Jewish didn't know that the milk meat thing was a big deal.  Larry who I met a few times told

the waitress not to place my order, and before I could say a word David started yelling at Larry saying he isn't Jewish

Larry and David argued back and fourth about it a while.

Then when my Order came Larry was shaking his head and David being David

asked if he could have some of my shake ,  I said sure and he dipped his hamburger

in my shake like a donut in coffee and just had that David smile looking at Larry,  who

again started arguing with David.

Its been 30 years and I still remember that night as one of the funniest fun times

in my life.  I lost track of David after college moved away no Face Book then etc.

I just tried finding my old college friends and so sorry I waited so long and didn't get

a chance to reconnect with David.

I have thought of him and the others and those coming of age moments often over the years

We used to go to Marvin's Gardens on Hempstead Turnpike for beers and listen to

the Eve of Destruction

I will always hold found memories of David and of our

friendship and time together

REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND

YOU MADE A IMPACT ON MY LIFE

A long fun day

January 12, 2016

I dont remember what year it was, but probably somewhere in the late 80's or early 90's.  We went to Yankee Old Timers day.  After 5 hours in the bronx we then went to Yonkers Raceway.  It was Dave, myself, and our friends Howard and Steve.  On the way home, Dave remarked "oh look we are on the Garden State Parkway" lets go to Atlantic City.  Dave didnt seem to grasp the concept that we were at Exit 172 on the Parkway and I lived at exit 130 and Atlantic City was exit 38.  Well, despite that fact we went anyway, got there around midnight and closed the casino (back when they werent 24 hours) and had a great time even if we lost money all day.  It was one of the many stories that we always joked and reminisced about for many years to come.

Ralph the Flying Moose

January 12, 2016

Dave is 7 years older than I am. When I was 4, he used to tell me about Ralph the Flying Moose. He used to seat me on his lap and say "look, there he is". I'd say "where" and he'd reply "oh, you just missed him. He went behind the cloud". Or "Oh look, there's Ralph" "Where?" "Oh, you just missed him, he went behind the tree".  You'd think I'd catch on when he told me Ralph went behind the stereo speaker, but, no.
All through my life Ralph the Flying Moose has been a part of my life, such to the point that I have him tattooed on my right calf.
