His Life
September 24, 2013
David moved to Maine from New Jersey about 1972. Was a truck driver most of his life. He had one sister Lois Hacik, two brothers Alvin and John that predeceased him. He had three children Keith,Jennifer, and Kenneth..He married Elizabeth in 1981,they scared 32 wonderful years together. David fought a brave battle with cancer for 7 months. He passed away at home with his family and close friends Julie ,Jennessa , and a very special friend Bret Ryan by his side. David loved going to car shows with Jim Bartels and antique truck shows with Bret.the two of them shared some great times, David loved his nieces and nephews always for excited when he knew they were coming. The last three weeks of his life I was able to surprise him with his two nieces coming to see him,Debbie and Lischen. Then the following week his childhood friend David Richards and wife Linda. Then the next week his friend Petty and Brenda drove from North Carolina to see him. He was so happy to see them all. Five days before he passed away he was determined to go watch one of Nikki and Tori's basketball game in Waterville. He was only able to stay for one game with the help of his son in law Wayne and Bret helping getting him in and out of the gym . David loved the Holidays and they will never be the same without him. He will be the one most missed at the table . Christmas he absolutely loved. He was like a little kid . Loved all the decorations we had, This year it will be so different. Christmas morning I would get up build a fire in the fireplace, make coffee, and then wake him up. This was our quiet time to enjoy the tree before the day started with a very hectic day .He enjoyed having barbecues with family and friends. The last few months he enjoyed going to RidgeTop Restaurant for breakfast and talking to friends that came in, telling everyone he was feeling good. He was an inspiration to everyone and will e dearly missed .
