Computer Music Journal & expressive musical interfaces
When I was starting the Computer Music Journal in 1976, David's encouragement meant a lot to me. He was supportive to many of us as we explored the physics, math and psychoacoustics of timbre and the design of more expressive music instrument interfaces and controllers, at a time when their was little financial support for computer music. David was a considerate, intelligent and kind musician/researcher with a fun sense of humor. -- John Snell
