His Life

Our Best Friend

April 30, 2019

David was a very loving man that touched so many lives over the years. His happiness came from spending time with his loving children, and grandchildren.  He loved spending time with his good friends and making memories that will surely stay with us forever. In recent years he was joyed to be able to reconnect with many childhood and high school friends. He would spend hours regaling the good ole days and all the crazy things he had so much fun doing with all of his friends. He never shied away from a hard days work and and took pride in his accomplishments.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather that made sure we all knew how much family meant to him.  His granddaughters made him laugh and loved to keep him busy, and in December he finally got the grandson he never thought he would. He was happy to have another little Haas to carry on the family name and that meant the world to him. He loved the special things in life like walking his daughter down the aisle, seeing his children graduate, spending evenings watching movies and driving his son crazy with technical questions that would have them both laughing, dreaming of visiting his in-laws in Hawaii, having his stepson change his name to Haas to honor the man that loved and raised him, seeing another son reach milestones in his life that filled him with never ending pride. holding all of his beautiful grandchildren and spending time at our happy little home with his wife, watching the birds and wildlife.

He was a true family man to the end, accepting his angel wings with his loving children Robert, Melissa, Justin and Cody at his side along with his wife, daughter-in-law Barbaraand loved ones. We will miss him everyday but will make sure he is alive in our hearts and minds forever.

My first car

April 30, 2019

My dad wanted to buy me my first car. We went to the place I wanted the Honda accord but nooo my dad ended up buying me a 1980 nissian datsun for $300 mind you I was born in 1983 and got my driving license in 2002 lol. It was half blue half primer with plush blue carpet! My friend jessie and I would go sit in it and act like goof balls saying all the places we were crusing too. It was up on cinder blocks for months!!! Than when my dad finally got it running I'd drive my brother to the gas station the closer we got the more scrunched down in the seat he got from embarrassment. Even though it wasnt exactly what I wanted looking back that car taught me alot about being humble and appreciated for things in life. You still get to where you are going in life without all the bells and whistles.....

My dad

April 30, 2019

My dad always loved holidays but I think his favorite was his birthday. He would call me leave messages months weeks days before his bday saying do you know what today is? He would than inform me its 19 days 22 hours and 6 minutes till his bday and that he wanted presents. When it wasnt close to his bday and it was just your average day he'd  call and I d answer he would always say whoa is me and than tell me every bad thing that happen to him that day lol. I will miss those calls hearing your voice....
