To my uncle Rocky, gone too soon. You were such a fun loving uncle. Growing up in Trinidad I had so many fond memories whenever you visited us or whenever we visited our grandma and grandpa. We know you are in the arms of Jesus and will be forever missed. Love you and go RIP uncle.

Without a doubt you were one of the nicest uncle I have ever known. You were kind, cheerful, giving and most of all always happy. Like the song says, "You're gone to soon" You will be greatly missed. Rest my sweet uncle until we meet again. Love always Cateye!

To Uncle Rocky,
You always had a smile on your face like everything was always right in the world. You called me "Ackee" and I loved it because it was from a place of love. Now you have gone to be with Jesus and you are in the ultimate love in the arms of Christ. Rest in Peace Uncle.

His Life

Biography

August 5, 2022
David Ramrattan better known as Rocky was the son of the late Titus and Rosalind Ramrattan. Sibling of Elisha {dec) Melda, Elaine, Thaddaeus (dec), Solomon (dec)and Annmarie . Brother in law of Henry (dec), Gordon (dec) Herman (Tony) and Rajkumar. Father of Shalana and Sharon. Grand father of two.

He was educated at Milton Presbyterian school. He was the sixth of seven children and was very much spoiled by Melda in that she had a nicknamed for him (Davie] . While growing up he loved music and played the guitar. He spent a lot of time with his father planting crops, rearing animals and hunting. He loved to plant and share his produce. You would always see him carry a bag dropping off whatever he had for family and friends. He was also a carpenter and displayed many skills as an all-rounder.

David migrated and spent a number of years in the United States of America. He worked as a mechanic and a handyman. He then decided to return to his homeland in Trinidad. David being a son of the soil cultivated crops once more and lived by himself. He was a simple down to earth person and will always be remembered for his simplicity and green thumb. Anything he planted flourished in abundance.

He was very much liked by everyone and his sister Melda and her children together with other relatives were there to lend support whenever the need arise. He will sadly be missed by siblings, nieces, nephews and relatives who rides abroad and in Trindad. For those who could not be present here today, we know that you are hurting. May God grant you comfort at this time.
