David Scott Mackie beloved husband of Sandra Mackie passed away all to soon from complications of the corona virus. He was born in Alvechurch, England and immigrated to the
United States when he was 12 yrs. old. At 14 yrs. of age he graduated from Surprise Valley Union High School in California and later served in the Marines for four yrs.
Hughes Aircraft gave him a Fellowship to complete his education in Electrical Engineer at the University of Southern California .He was a member of Mensa and has received recognition for his Engineering accomplishments. Dave loved playing softball and went backpacking in the High Sierra’s with friends for over twenty years.
He was a kind, generous, loving man and will be forever remembered for caring and mentoring to others.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, brother Andrew Mackie (Gini), Sister Joanne Peyton. and preceded in death by his sisters Susan Haycraft (William)and Robbie Oberg. Other family members include nieces and nephews.
