This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, David Tumbelston, 93 years old, born on December 16, 1917, and passed away on February 26, 2011. We will remember him forever.

David was a kind father and husband. He taught me how to love and to keep a good attitude. He had a laugh that would make you laugh. He was a loving grandfather to my son. He will be sorely missed.

Tumbelston, David L., MSGT, (Retired), age, 93.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 17, 1917, died in Orange, CA on February 26, 2011.
 
     David lived in Orange, CA. He is survived by his younger brother, Raimund Tumbelston, his wife, Betty Jean Tumbelston and their children, Gerald Moore, Jeanne Jebousek, Janice Brown and Wende Tumbelston-Tandyk, as well as 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
 
     David spent 23 years in the United States Marine Corp retiring in 1963. Later he went to work for the Orange County Superior Court as a court clerk.  He spent 18 years there and retired in 1979. Then he spent 18 years as an English as a Second Language teacher.
 
     A Memorial Service will be held at the Covenant Community Church on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be served in the social hall of the church following the service. The church is located at 221 N. Waverly St., Orange, CA 92866.
 
     A military funeral service and internment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:45 a.m. The cemetery is located at 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518. There will be a luncheon following the internment at the Sizzler restaurant at 11:45 am at 1461 Rimpau Avenue, Corona, CA.  
 
     In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Covenant Community Church's missionary program. You can mail your donations to Covenant Community Church at 221 N. Waverly St., Orange, CA 92866.
