David Wayne Ray, 57, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.
A native of Oklahoma, the son of the late Robert Lee Ray. He was of the Baptist faith and worked in carpentry most of his life.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Dr. Marc Tilley. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Smith Ray of the home; his mother, Mae Smith Ray of Butner; sisters, Kim Price, Donna Summer, Wanda Brooks; and a brother, Ricky Ray and several nieces and nephews and several children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:45 P.M. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Eakes Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
