Let the memory of Dawn be with us forever

Dawn Peterson's life was viciously torn from beneath her, having only been thirteen at the time of
her murder. Dawn is talked about as being an intelligent, motivated and talented individual whom
would go above and beyond to lend an extra hand. Dawn's memory and the memories of her bright smile and bubbly personality will live forever in the lives of the many that have and continue to grieve
her untimely loss.

"I knew Dawn back when we were in 6th grade. She was one of my best friend during that year in middle school. We spent one Halloween night together. She actually painted my face  for that night and we trick-or-trick till late.  We had so much fun.  I ate over her house one night as well--we had corn, mash potatoes and chicken. She also stayed over my house where we shared some nice times together, also attending church with me one night  at the First Baptist church in Willimantic, where my father pastored a Spanish/English speaking congregation.  I actually saw Dawn the Friday before she was taken from us. During our last period, our classes had merged that day and we sat together catching up on things.  The next day two of my friends rode their bikes several  miles where I lived in the border of Willimamtic and Windham  to tell me of the tragedy that had occurred to Dawn, since they knew we were good friends.  I was very sadden by the news.  She was a kind hearted girl with a beautiful smile. I share her story with others because her friendship towards  me was a  special one.  My name back than was Ada Maldonado."

Thank you for having this, my heart still grieves and remembers the horror of being called into the principles office with a few other of her close friends and being told, that changed my life in more ways than probably I even know, Thank You for having this. Sincerely Dina!  Dawn you are still missed and looking forward to meeting again in Paradise! ❤️ Love always and Forever"
