This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Deacon Abiola Oloyede, 79 years old, born on July 10, 1941, and passed away on March 30, 2021. We will remember him forever.

It was a rude shock when i heard of your departure to Glory.
Daddy you really were to me and with so much love to go round all that ever came around and about you.
You took life simple and taught and helped others to do so.
So energetic and vibrant, firm and gentle, dependable and so much more you were......
After my wedding, you were 1st to come know where i live with my husband.
I even had the effrontery to bring my school daughter to live in your house and she remained after i had left cos your heart was so large....
Your sacrifices to attend Lagos PTA on behalf of my parents, in-spite of tight Lagos schedules, you dropped and picked me up from my school bus terminal every resumption and vacation.....
It was always fun cos you very carefully filled any vacuum plus much "spoilings"
Your good works, in the family, church, everywhere you went, indeed follows you!

This is yet another sad reminder that no one gets out of this life alive. In addition to the many wonderful things you were Daddy, you were such an attentive listener. It's our prayer that the legacy you left continues to live through us.

But I take comfort in the life you lived and the legacy you left
As a child, a teen, and an adult
You showed me that leadership is about leading from the front
In a world where people tend to get complicated, so full of drama
Dilligence and simplicity above all, was your biggest armour
Your warm heart made your house my home
Your vibrance strenghthened my bones, helped gird up my loin.
I fondly remember the times I spent with you like it was yesterday
Waking up so early to wash the car before you was usually my first challenge of the day
How quickly the car-wash sessions turned to STEM lectures
And at the end came the test with all the practical questions
I often went through the day asking myself "what would Grandpa do?"
Thought it, then had it done
And Yes! I always fell short
but would wake up the next day more motivated to continue
Thank you Grandpa! Because these attempts made me a better son
Now I have grown into a better man

Though it's sad that you're no more

Daddy, your death came to me as a shock, but again I give God the glory for the good life you lived, the legacy you have given me, I will continue to keep with me forever. Your gentleness, words of wisdom, encouragement and message of peace were unmatched. Your sense of humour was exceptional even in old age. In our trying times, you stood solidly behind us and guided us. Thank you sir! No doubt , the Oyedeji's will surely miss you Sir. Continue to rest in the blossom of the Lord, Amen.
Daddy, O ga o!! Just like that!!! I knew you afar but your virtues were very undoubtedly evident. You were a gentle, amiable, very unassuming and pleasant personality. You were an exemplary child of God, no doubts. We will really miss you. May God continue to strengthen and uphold mummy for us and the whole family at large. We take solace in the fact that eternity is sure by faith in Christ Jesus and that hope cannot be taken away by death. Glory to God. Rest on sir!!!

To know you was to love you daddy. Your spirit and energy was contagious, you were always hardworking, active, and willing to help out. Till today, I still recognise how so much like you my dad is. Seeing that he spent a considerable amount of time with you in his formative years, I'm 100% certain your exemplary attributes rubbed off on him. Everyone loved you and always had a smile around you. You'll be sorely missed. Rest on Daddy!
Dearest Grandpa, the news of your demise is still like a shock, but my consolation is that you were a lover of God, you were so kind, full of compassion , always want everyone to be happy above all selfless. Adieu Grandpa. We love and miss you. May the good Lord grant your Loving soul external rest. You will be greatly missed.
Daddy Oloyede was a caring father. He and my dad were close friends and I could remember each time he visited us, my siblings and I, then children, were always excited knowing that we would receive some gifts on his departure. Fast forward to the time I was in Lagos for my NYSC, he always checked on me like a father would. I could remember weekend visits to Daddy and Mummy Oloyede, with both of them doting on me. He had a warm and endearing personality, which was not associated with most dads of his generation. We thank God for the time Daddy Oloyede spent with family and friends. May God console Mummy Oloyede, Bode and siblings, as well as the rest of the family.
Dn. Oloyede was an amazing father figure. A shoulder to rest upon as he stood firmly during the darkest of times till he was called to glory.

Grandpa was my hero. He was the most courageous and resourceful man. I never questioned if he loved or cared for me because he made it so obvious whenever we were together or made a phone conversation. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him and smile. I miss him and my soul knows he's at peace. Rest on Grandpa!!

Grandpa, a man I really didn't spend so much time with but the few times we spent together, you impacted greatly in my life and that of my family. A man worth emulating. His patience and hard work is next to nothing. The care he shows is undefined. Grandpa we will forever miss you. We are happy as u sleep peacefully because u are in the bossom of our Father in heaven.
