When you see my little guys give him a hug for me. Love you buddy

Dean was one heck of a guy. I remember my first day of high school, Mrs. Freets math class. Mrs. Freet had decided to make every student personally aware of their shortcomings, at least when it came to math(she was stern, but overall a fair teacher, she was building backbones on us 9th graders) but Dean noticed she had taken it a bit to far for some students, myself included... Dean made it his mission to make everyone smile in that math class. He made us laugh until we thought our stomachs were bursting with laughter. I'll forever remember that day, when he stood up for us, and made us all feel welcome. Thank you Dean, rest easy, and fly high.

Dean,
Such a young soul gone to soon! You may not know me well! But I remember you very well as a young child! You were such a cute little bugger and full of energy and ambition! You were such a ham! My heart aches for your family on your passing! We never understand why things happen, but apparently your soul was needed in a better place! Only god knows why! You are now that guardian angel your family and friends will depend on! Rest easy young man high in the heavens above, your time on earth has been completed and you now begin your new journey in the afterlife! May your memories live in the hearts of all those you have touched forever! RIH!

Dean,

You were my first best friend in the Army and I’ll never forget all the missions and experiences we had together in Iraq. You always treated me like a brother and although we disagreed about things at times, you were always kind and spoke from the heart. You were always the person who would volunteer to take on the crappy/difficult tasks at work that nobody else wanted. You were always ready to drop what you were doing and help a friend in need even if it meant sacrificing something you were working toward. Never once did you back out when Nicole and I needed help with something.

I remember hanging out in the trucks on
mission pause and just talking about life, home, our girls and future hopes and goals.

Upon return from Iraq, you and Jackie were an absolute blessing for Nicole and me at a very trying and unpredictable time in our life. We all learned to “do life” together and spent nearly every weekend hanging out our first few years in the Army. Just two young couples leaning on each other and struggling to survive. I miss those days so much.

I hit up some of the soldiers we served with and they can’t believe you’re gone so soon. There are lots of broken hearts and fond memories from people whose lives you touched.

Fate would have it that Little Ry and Jackie are at my house for the first time in about 10 years at the time of your passing. When I look at Ry all I see is you bro. She always has a family here when she needs it.

Only God knows why things turn out the way they do. Sometimes he just takes the best souls early on. I hope to see you again in another place. Rest easy brother.

Always your friend,

Jared
