Our community sadly lost an amazing woman on Monday, August 30, 2021, when Deanna Schalch (nee Stall), 83years old, passed away peacefully. For nearly 60 years she was the owner of LaNormandee Beauty Salon, and you could always find her at the nearest Bingo or gambling event. She was the most sincere and selfless person that always put everyone before herself and never knew a stranger. She was an active member of St. Peter & Paul Church, helped run the Bingo for many years, and always attended the Septemberfest, which included eating the chicken dinner on Sunday and partaking in the “rips-offs” was something that always made her smile. She loved Christmas time and decorating her beauty shop for all the holidays.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Walter & Mildred Stall; two brothers, Donald Stall (Shirley) former wife (Patricia), and James Stall (Geri); and Husband Woodrow “Woody” Schalch. Deanna was a devoted mother to her sons Jimmy (deceased)(Lisa), Richard (deceased), survived by her son Tim (JoAnne), grandkids Mindy, Ashley, Coty, Nicholas, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that she truly adored.

Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 8th at the Reading Eagles – 403 West Benson Street Reading, OH 45215 at 4:30 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to Our Lady of the Valley Parish (Reading, OH), formerly St. Peter and Paul Parish.
