Obituary

January 16, 2012

Deborah Reid was born on September 27,1945 in Penn Township, PA to the late Carlton and Ellie Reid.  She was raised and received her education Penn Township.  During her adult life, Deborah was a resident of the Garfield and the Hill District communities of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She was married to the late Otis Peoples.

At an early age, Deborah accepted Christ as her personal savior.  She reaffirmed her faith and became a member of the Church of God and Saints of Christ, where she remained a faithful member until her passing.

Deborah was employed by private families as a domestic worker.  She enjoyed a full active life; she especially enjoyed cooking and her family really enjoyed eating her cooking.  Deborah also found joy in shopping, dressing up and going out to eat.  She also liked card playing "lighting" and gambling games.  One of her greatest joys was being around her family and friends.  She was a loving and kind person to all she met, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Suddenly, on January 11, 2012, Deborah was called from her life on earth to eternal rest.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Ellie Reid, and husband, and husband, Otis Peoples.

Deborah leaves to cherish her memory, her children Juan Reid and Milette Reid; grandchildren, Shayla Williams and Ryan Williams, sister Lydia Davenport; two devoted friends who were like her daughters, Marsha Kenney and Diane Kyles.  Deborah is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
