This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Debi Saitta-Morris 60 years old , born on January 21, 1959 and passed away on April 29, 2019. We will love and remember her forever.

Debi was a vibrant, beautiful woman who is survived by her daughter Crystal, son Michael, and granddaughter Roxanne.

Debi was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is one of five siblings born to her mother Peggy Davis and father Angelo Saitta.

Debi was known to play pranks and made us all laugh! She was so funny and really creative! We all knew when we had one of her presents because it was so beautifully wrapped, a talent she passed on to her daughter.

She was a loving mother that cherished both of her children.

She will be missed so much by all of her family and friends!

Debi had very specific wishes not to hold any funeral services but if anyone wants to contribute or help support the family with final arrangements you can send through Zelle or Venmo to her daughter (crystalalmazan83@gmail.com).  We welcome everyone to please read her biography, view her photos, or leave your favorite memory of Debi so we can share in them as well.

My daughter Debibie will be missed. I loved singing songs with her. She was so creative and funny. She liked to write poems about the family. I remember how she liked to cook. She made the best salad and loved to garden.

We watched comedy's on TV and she enjoyed a good laugh.

I miss you Debbie and I know I'll see you again.

She was my best friend. The only person who never abandoned me when i had fallen down. I spent everyday with her and her being gone leave a space in my heart that only she would gave cared about. I loved my mom more than i know how to explain. When everybody made her feel so alone, i was also so alone, so we had each other and we were never alone after that. I miss her and i remember everything about her. I hope she that worrying about me doesn't mess with her new life in heaven. Ill be waiting til we can hug again

The last time we saw one another we had lunch at a park in Fullerton. I could tell you had put so much love and thought into making it perfect. We picked a random park under a shade tree and the day was beautiful. We talked and laughed and laughed some more. You were the one who could pull anyone out of a slump.
I'm so happy to have known you and loved you and call you my dear friend. I look forward to the day we are reunited in heaven. I'll never forget that smile of yours.

My sis has gone to be with the Lord. I will miss her so much.we laughed and joked about anything and everything. With Debi you could always be yourself and never be judged. I'll always be grateful that when I was having major anxiety, she was there for me, and knew how to distract me and made me feel loved. My dog Charly loved her so much! She was his love. His eyes just lovingly adored her and he couldn't wait to be her presence. We used to say he had 2 moms, lol.
Debi will forever be in my heart and I have memories to last a lifetime. I'll see you later Debi...

After I moved away to Utah my mom asked if we could start writting letters (yes! Like with pen and paper, envelope and stamp, they do still have those). She was not too big on social media and she really didnt like to talk on the phone. Although it wasnt always easy to get myself to sit down and hand write a letter, I'm so glad I did because we actually became so much closer through all our letters. We confided in one another and she told me that she loved how she could express herself through writing so much better than in person. I saved all her letters and I'm so happy that I have that memory to cherish because I know it not only brought us closer, she told me it meant the world to her.

Debi was my everything growing up. She truly was who I looked up to. She lived life hard and wasn't afraid of anything or anyone.
I watched her fly off to New York and work at the World Trade Center and was in awe that she was such a free spirit.
Our paths slowly changed and I grieved the space between us. Now I celebrate her departure because, I know she asked God into her heart just one month ago.
'I feel kind of bad,
cause I'm more happy than sad. Your in no more pain and are with Craig and our dad'

I love you sister and will see you again.

My memory of my sister was watching her walk into a room and lighting it up. People were just drawn to her. She was beautiful inside and out. We had lots of giggles together. Just a month ago she shared a memory of me and her as we were looking at old photos. She remembered that I curled and fixed her hair for a family picture. She was very young and sure enough her and I had the same hair style in that picture! I was happy knowing she had that good memory. I’ll miss my little sister but I know she’s in Heaven waiting ❤️

Her Life
May 2, 2019

Debi was born a beautiful and healthy baby on January 21st 1959.  She was taken home from the hospital by Peggy and Angelo to meet her other siblings Sharon and Craig.  Soon the family of 5 became a family of 7 as her sisters Lisa and Kim were born and brought home.  They all lived in New Jersey until 1968 when they all packed up and headed to sunny California.  They lived a few places such as Westminster and Anaheim until Angelo and Peggy bought their home in Corona where they lived for over 20 years.  As she and all her siblings grew up, they all moved on and some of them, including her, came back to the Corona home.  Debi decided that in 1981 she wanted to move to New York City.  She packed up her car and drove across country to New York where she lived with the drummer from a rock band called Twisted Sister.  She took the Staten Island Ferry every day to Manhattan where she worked as an executive secretary in the Twin Towers.

Debi moved back home to California in 1982 where she eventually went on to have her children Crystal and Michael.  She married Steve Morris in 1986, just before Michael was born.  She lived with her new little family in Riverside where she took a job at Kaiser hospital as an appointment receptionist.  She and Steve separated and after a few years she and the kids moved back home to the Corona home where they all lived until about 1997.  Michael went on to live with Steve. Crystal stayed with her grandma and grandpa and moved into the new mobile home they bought in Orange County. Debi eventually came back home and lived with her parents until she was able to get an apartment of her own where she and Crystal lived for about 6 or 7 years.  During that time Debi was now working at Tarsadia hotels where she met some really good friends and made a lot of fond memories.  She started at Cypress college in 2001 part time to work on getting her associates degree. Later in 2002 her daughter joined her at Cypress college where they both had a few classes together.

Debi lost her father Angelo in 2003 and then her brother Craig in 2006.  After both of their deaths, Debi's mom Peggy, her Sister Lisa and her brother in-law, Sam decided to all move into a bigger house together.  They all lived together for awhile until 2009 when Peggy got her own apartment in Corona where Debi eventually ended up living as well.  Debi spent the last 10 years of her life living with her mom, and during that 10 year period, Debi became a grandma when her granddaughter Roxanne was born.  Her daughter moved to Utah and then got married.

Debi worked a few odd jobs here and there until she eventually stopped working and went on disability due to lung and heart issues.

Debi's health started to get worse as the years went on and eventually her liver started to fail her as well.  Eventually her body stopped fighting and her organs started to fail. Her heart stopped and she passed away peacefully on April 29th 2019 at 2:10 pm at Corona Regional Hospital where she was surrounded by many of her loved ones.

Honestly i don't know what I can say about my Aunt Debi, except that i always felt joy around her. She found humor in the funniest things, and was such a creative and detailed person. She could find any little scrap and turn it into some kind of art. One of my favorites was her wizard of oz garden. She also put so much effort into her gifts, even the wrapping. Everything had a homemade bow, and she even made personalized ornament, crossword puzzle, poem, pictures, etc. One of the funniest things was she took a little Woody doll and kept finding ways to put him in trouble. .. Like tying him to the train tracks with a "help" sign in his hands. We had our own little bond and I'm really going to miss her .

What I think of every time I think of Debbie

May 4, 2019

My mother and I went from California to New Jersey to visit our relatives. Debbie's dad and my mother were brother and sister. My Uncle Angelo had rented a big old house. Well Debbie was about 3 or 4 years old. And one day we could not find her anywhere. We searched and searched. Finally we found her. She was walking down the street with a big red hat on, a purse on her arm, and high heels. And that is all! SHE WAS BUCK NAKED, JUST STRUTTING HER STUFF. I can't even remember how long we laughed. And that is how I think of my dear cousin. As just a happy, fun loving girl.

Rest in Peace, my dear cousin.

I will always Love you, Donna

I have so many wonderful memories of my mom it's hard to put into words or just pick one.  My most vivid memories are when we lived together, just me and her, in our apartment on Ball road. It was fun and we were almost like roommates because I was just finishing high school.  We had so much fun together and although we got along famously, the stuborness she had and that she passed to me made us butt heads a lot.  She has called me Crystal Pistol since I was small and she told me it was because of my firecracker attitude.  After I graduated high school, I signed up to start taking classes at Cyress college where my mom had already attended a semester.  We did this for quite a few years and we had a lot of classes together.  We would study for tests together and talk about the annoying things the teacher would do.  I remember taking an art history course with her and there were hundreds of images of different art work we had to memorize.  We made flash cards and would go to Denny's and get salads and coffee and quiz each other.  I will never forget that wonderful experience we shared together.
