Deborah Jo Carey, 52 and holding, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in an automobile accident.
A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Susie Walston Carey. She was of the Christian faith and a retired hairdresser.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 5th, 2013 at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by the Pastor Tracy Carey. .
Surviving are a daughter Lisa Brogden of Louisburg, a son Tommy D. Brogden Jr. (Ramona) of Stem, two sisters, Lillian Johnson of Stem and Mary Tunstall of Apex and three brothers, Seth Carey and Tyrone Carey of Stem and Keith Carey of Kentucky, and a granson, Trey Brogden. She was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Phillips, Ilene Daniels, brothers Eugene Carey Jr., Stevie Carey and a grandson, Justice Duke.
Visitation will be held Sunday May 5th, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the memorial service in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor, NC.
Potted Plants will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Carey family.
