My sweet sister,

It is almost Christmas. Another one without you. Oh, how I miss you! Now Mom is with you. So many of my loved ones there. My heart is so broken but one day we will all be together again! Loving and missing you always!

I remember Debbie’s laugh and radiant smile. The first time I heard her laughter was in high school when she and Melanie McNeely were laughing about something in the hallway. It didn’t matter that I had no idea what the were laughing about—her laughter still made me smile too. Her eyes danced with happiness when she laughed. She and I didn’t know each other well yet she was always kind to me and respectful to others. She definitely brought joy to all who knew her. The world lost a great lady when she left, but Heaven gained a beautiful soul!

The Fitzgeralds were our neighbors, so we first knew Christina and Debbie when they were children. Debbie was such a sweet, happy, fun-loving child. Most of all, I remember her love of animals. If there was a stray, she would take care of it! One of my favorite memories of her was her walking down the sidewalk with her cat “Mittens” on her shoulder. She had such a big heart! I miss her very much. I wouldn’t be surprised if she is surrounded in Heaven by all the cats and dogs that she loved so much!

Debbie was one of the most "classy" women I had the privilege to work with. Not only was she extremely proficient, she took great pride in her work.  She had the most beautiful eyes & smile and was always well-groomed.  She always dressed "truly stylish."  Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family and loved them wholeheartedly. Debbie is sadly missed by all her family and friends.  Such a heartbreaking loss at such a young age.

Deborah Lynn was one of my very best friends......ever. I was so blessed to have had a friend like her. There are so many stories that I could share. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the terrible news of her passing. I just could not believe that she was gone. We had talked for over an hour on the phone just the day before. How could this be true? I went to my car and beat on my steering wheel and screamed. It didn't matter if anyone saw me.... my world was turned upside down. What would I do without Deb to talk to and laugh with? There are so many times that I want to tell her something but I can't. Tina, Pat and Debbie were as close as any mother and daughters could be. Deb loved her nieces with all of her heart. I miss you so much Deborah Lynn. I will see you again one day. Love you!

My dear cousin

Debbie must have been one of the sweetest, warmest people to ever grace the Earth. What I remember most is her laugh. I can hear it even now. Hers was the kind of laugh that made you start laughing too, a cute giggle that always had a touch of the mischievous about it. We had that laugh taken away too soon, and we could sure use it now.

When we were kids and I’d be up visiting in the summer, I remember her always twirling a baton (working on her drum majorette skills, if I remember right). She was so full of energy and passion and humor. She’ll be forever missed
