Debra Ann Austin was born August 9, 1962 in Rockford, Alabama to the late Callie Mae Austin Hollenquest and Billy Thomas.

Debra attended Coosa County High School in Rockford, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she served until her death.

On Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 4:10 a. m., she departed this life to join the Lord.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: a father, Billy (Marilyn) Thomas of Dallas, TX. Seven very devoted and loving sisters: Callie Mae Austin of Goodwater, AL; Michelle (Sidney) Lacey
of Wetumpka, AL. Wanda Gail Jennings and Sherry Brown, both of Dallas, TX; Cheryl K Brown of Marshall, TX, Valencia Thomas and Tammy William, both of Dallas, TX. Three brothers:
Harry (Sandra) Thomas, Billy Ray (Brenda) Thomas and Brent Thomas, all of Dallas, TX. Four aunts: Emma Lou Knight of Wetumpka, AL; Cora McConico of Birmingham, AL; Gloria
Thomas of Dallas, TX; Barbara (Rozelle) Edmond of Chattanooga, TN. Four uncles: Johnny Thomas of Dallas, TX; Michael Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; Benny Thomas of Rome,
GA and Webster (Peggy) Thomas III of Kellyton, AL. A very special nephew, Rashad Austin. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Debra A. Austin of Goodwater, Alabama will be Saturday, December 17,2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Debra will be missed. She never forgot to call me on my birthday and was very patient with me when she took me out for driving lessons (many years ago).
