Her Life

Missed but not forgotten

April 13, 2017

Dee touched every single person she encountered. She taught us how to live. She cherished life, and as a result modeled for the rest of us on how to live ours. She accomplished everything she set out to do in life – to be a wonderful mother and wife; and she did it with compassion and love every single day.

Dee was born May 25, 1971 in Wayne, New Jersey. She is survived by her husband Tony, daughters Erin (16) and Katie (12), parents Ken Schult (wife Anita) and Patricia Hefferan (husband Pete).  Dee had 3 siblings Julie Schult (deceased), Krista Schult (daugher Aylie) and Bill Schult (wife Stephanie and sons Everett and Charlie). Dee also had a step sister, Renee Garrison and step brother Roger Garrison (wife Mel and son Johnny).

She grew up in Wayne, New Jersey and graduated from Wayne Valley High School where she was a cheerleader and a captain of SAA. Dee graduated from high school in 1989 and went on to Rutgers College. At Rutgers she shared many fun times with her ZTA sisters (ZLAM) and her roomates. Dee graduated from Rutgers in 1994.

Dee was always up for an adventure. She relocated to Colorado where she began her life with her family. She met Tony Kerby and married him in January of 1998, the weekend of the Broncos Superbowl victory. On June 2000 they welcomed Erin Julia Kerby and then on October 19, 2004 welcome Katie Ellen Kerby.

Dee was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her true calling was as a wife and mother. That is what she set out to be in life and she put every ounce of her being into it. Many people know her from her time at the girls' schools volunteering, on the side of the softball field cheering on her favorite pitcher, or helping her fierce little horse rider saddle up her horse. She never missed an event or moment to be there for her girls.

Dee was one of the great ones and will always always be missed but never forgotten.
