Daddy's Girl

Victoria,

As you think of me and our time together,
the tears may come to your eyes.
You never wanted to see me go,
I never wanted to say goodbye

Follow your dreams,
And let no one tell you what you're capable of.
Laugh at everything.
Live for as long as you can.
Believe in yourself,
Trust in God
And never lose faith in others.

Settle for nothing but only the best,
And give 110% in everything you do.
Life is a precious gift,
This is my prayer for you.

Brotherly Love

Rosial Jr., Darrell, and Roderick...

Don't cry for me.
I will be okay.
I took my eternal rest,
and this is where I'll stay.

Don't cry for me.
I'm where I belong.
I want you to be happy
and try to stay strong.

Don't cry for me.
It was just my time,
but I will see you someday
on the other side.

Don't cry for me.
I am not alone.
Mom and Dad are with me
to welcome me home.

Don't cry for me,
for I have no fear.
All my pain is gone,
and Jesus took my tears.

Don't cry for me.
This is not the end.
I'll be waiting here for you
when we meet again.

A life to remember

A Time To Be Born

Del-Lano Carlton Jones was born on March 09,1964 in Washington, DC. He was the oldest of four children to the late Geneva and Rosial Jones, Sr.  Del-Lano was a blessing to the family.

A Time To Live

Del-Lano received his education from the Prince George's County Public School system. He graduated from Crossland High School in 1982. He furthered his education by attending DeVry Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. Del-lano worked as an Administrative Support Specialist for over 25 years and as an insurance Underwriter for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) in conjunction with FEMA. In addition to his corporate career, he worked as a security guard for Kaiser Permanente in Camp Springs, Maryland and in his spare time enjoyed working as a professional barber. Del-Lano attended The Sanctuary Church under the Pastoral care of Pastor Anthony Macklin, and in 2005 received the right hand of fellowship. He would often attempt to quote a scripture or two but, mid way through he would stop and say "Read the Bible it's in there.".....lol

A Time To Laugh

His stellar gift of making people laugh, shown through his joking around and dancing, will never be forgotten. Growing up, Del-Lano enjoyed playing basketball dominating anyone who stepped on the court. He also enjoyed meeting new people, especially the ladies :)and family gatherings. His favorite pastime was watching the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champions (back in the day!) football  games, playing spades and dominoes. To date, Del-Lano is considered one of the best dominoes player amongst his family and friends. One of his favorite things to do was talking about his pride and joy, his baby girl Victoria.

Rod, Tee and Quinton:
You have my sincere condolence. I didn't know Del-Lano but the little time I was fortunate to be around him was a joy. He had that personality that was so inviting and made you feel welcome. So take time to grieve and reflect and cherish the precious memories.  So take time to grieve, and cherish the precious memories. May God keep you close. There’s no emptiness God can’t fill, no loneliness he can’t see you through to comfort those he loves so much. May God lead you to a place of peace.
