Tribute to a Hero, Father in law and a Grand Father

Daddy we miss everything about you since you left us,
Your jokes, conversation on phone, laughter,...

I remembered the first day your son brought me to you, you received me as your own daughter.
All the prayers you and mummy prayed for us is manifesting in our marriage and would continue by God's grace. Amen.

Sometimes your grand daughter would come to me and say ''Mum call Grandpa I miss him'' and their conversation was always a sweet one (Grandpa and Granddaughter's love).

I remembered our last conversation. Your wish is here and you are not here to feel and embrace your wish (Heartbreaking)

Daddy you were such a precious gift from above for us to love and treasure. We will miss your presence in our lives. Even when you are gone to be with the lord , you will be in our Hearts Forever.

With Love from your Daughter in law (Glory),.and your Grandchildren(Betty, Great,...).

Dad was an incredible man. A man with a strong passion of raising people from the scratch. I call him " Civilian General" because he was a brave man and Achiever. Your Wealth of intelligence awards you a moving encyclopedia due to your computerized ability of providing solution to every problem with the speed of light . You were versatile in all areas of life that makes you a Technocrat of our time, a rare gem, computer brain and Iron body. You loved your people and always willing to help . You are my greatest Role Model, leader, mentor,Father, Joy giver and a Hero. You are the most courageous and resourceful man i have ever known in my entire life. Your multi tasking ability and Wealth of intelligence has played a pivoted role in my life. All i have achieved today is a testament of ur prayers and wishes. I know you are a lover of electronics and automobiles but you never waited to have one as a gift from me. Wherever you are don't forget your daughter whom you turned to ur play mate " Betty" and nickname" Ote me" will always ask of "Grandpa. We are grateful to God you lived a fulfilled life. You are alive in our hearts and minds forever.

Our daddy, High Chief Dennis Etaluku was the pillar of unity Isoko needed at all times. He never discriminates against anyone or tribe and loves all equally. I fondly referred to him as the 'Otota of Isoko nation' because he was the rally point when crises erupt in any community. Though he lived a fulfilled life, he will be missed greatly, rest on peacefully my Chief.

Best Dad Ever,
Ooh death, ooh death ….you did me wrong not just me but an entire generation..Just when we needed his wisdom, tenacity, courage, to speak the truth at all time to this generation that is so hypocritical!! ooh death you took a rare gem from us…..just like yesterday you walked me than the aisle and the other day you named my daughter but is clearer now why she was named Otomeno …. Thank You daddy….
I’m the best in all I do today, because being good is not good enough for you because you always pushed us to be the best in all that we do and this is evident in all ur children…
Two days before ur demise, you revealed to me that you are leaving this odoriferous world and left instructions to me and God helping those instructions will be kept…
Best dad ever your legacy lives on….

Thank you for welcoming me as your daughter and an addition to the family, thank you for raising your son to be a great husband to me and a wonderful dad to our child and unborn kids. I’m glad I was able to visit you and see you in your last days.
Your grand daughter, Elozino will know you called her “Fancy Lady,” a name I cherish.
I pray you forever rest in the bosom of the Lord, watch over mummy and all of us. You will always be celebrated, your legacy lives on Highly respected Chief Denis Etaluku.

I watched helplessly while you took your last breath.... it's well Dad...

You taught me everything I needed to know... in the engineering field, you were there to teach me.... in the construction and fabrication industry you were there to also teach me....in the murky water of politics you cleared the way for me....in community leadership you taught me how to stand for your people....in the dredging field you left no stone unturned, you taught me the nitty gritty of Dredging and reclamation. No wonder, people in the fabrication industry nick named you as "Sabi Papa"... you have solution for every obstacle. We will continue to celebrate you even in death.

Dad, you were a man of the people. At every given opportunity you spoke truth to power. You were never a coward. You preferred to stand alone as long as you are saying the truth. Your memories will forever be evergreen.

Adieu Daddy...
